VMC Falls Safety Team 2013 - Present
Led pilot studies for fall safety initiatives and further organization and system wide implementation.
Led planning and implementation of falls safety week activities.
Education Assessment and Redesign Taskforce 12/2016 – Present
Purpose: To transform educational activities within the current education model to ensure we are
advancing professional development to achieve the mission of Vidant Health.
Work of the Taskforce: Developed and implemented a model that will inspire professional development
through human connections, innovation and experiential learning utilizing evidence-based practice with
the goal of advancing the mission of Vidant Health.
Personal Role: Served as the representative of the Professional Development Coordinator team to
advocate for the needs of the team and the organization based on the job duties and work load of the
position. Designed and presented potential models to executives within the organization and ensured
model aligned with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Developed implementation plan
for transition to the new model and served as a leader and change agent during the transition process.
Performed 30, 60, and 90-day evaluations of the model and made recommendations based on findings.
