Data & Analytics D&A Analyst Services Purpose of the Rol e Managing the analysis of complex bank, franchise or function data to identify business issues and opportunities, supporting the delivery of high quality business solutions. The scale, complexity and criticality and/or the number of projects that a single D&A Analyst supports increases as a D&A Analyst becomes more senior and skilled. Provides high quality analytical input to support the development and implementation of innovative processes and problem resolution Captures, validates and documents business and data requirements ensuring they are in line with key strategic principles Interrogates, interprets and visualises large volumes of data to identify, support and challenge business opportunities Performs data extraction, storage, manipulation, processing and analysis Utilises an in-depth understanding of the interrelationships of data and multiple data domains Conducts and supports options analysis identifying the most appropriate solution Develops high level operating and business models Creates detailed process documentation and associated training material Is accountable for full traceability and linkage of business requirements of analytics outputs Seeks opportunities to challenge and improve current business processes ensuring the best result for the customer Creates and executes quality assurance at various stages of the project in order to validate the analysis and to ensure data quality, identify data inconsistencies, resolving as needed Manages and prioritises workstack and allocated projects to ensure high quality work and on time delivery to meet stakeholders expectations Able to influence through communications tailored to the specific audience Complete all mandatory training/accreditations as applicable to your role and your team Support improving team and customer performance by Role modelling Core Service Behaviours, Our Standards and adoption of Determined to Lead tools and techniques Operate within our people processes and policies e.g. performance management, absence & leave etc.

Knowledge and experience
Proven application of business analysis tools and techniques (Teradata/Hadoop/Genie) Ability to use core technical skills (SQL/SAS) Ability to use core Data & Analytics platforms/ tools like Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence etc. Appropriate level of knowledge of data in own area and across wider unit What are the skills needed to do the role?
