Total solid polyurethane coating system for steel & ductile iron
Product Icosit® TS-687 is a 2-part, fast-curing, single layer coating material based on
polyurethane resin cured with aromatic MDI-isocyanate.

Construction

Uses Icosit TS-687 is used for heavy-duty protection of hydraulic steel structures,
buried pipes and tanks, fittings and filter tanks in water treatment, water supply
schemes, chemical industry filter vessels and fittings.

Form
Appearance / Colour Standard colour green RAL 6011. Others upon request. A minor deviation in
colour shade may happen due to raw material characteristics.

In case of exposure to weathering, Icosit TS-687 tends to chalk and yellow. If
UV resistance is required, apply additional top coat Icosit® EG-5.
Storage
Storage Conditions / 6 months from the date of production if stored properly in original, unopened and
Shelf Life undamaged sealed packaging in dry conditions.

Chemical Resistance Resistant to water, seawater, domestic sewage, diluted acids and lye, salts,
mineral and fatty oils, detergent solutions.

Substrate Preparation Blast clean to Sa 2 ½ according to ISO 12 944, part 4. Free of dirt, oil, fat, etc.
Average surface profile Rz 60 – 80 microns, use grit abrasives.
If, for any reason, Icosit® TS-687 shall be overpainted with itself within 24 hours,
thorough cleaning is sufficient. Longer waiting times require sweep-blasting.

Icosit® TS-687 should be stored in heated rooms or preferable be warmed up in
flow heaters prior to application.

Mixing Part A : part B = 46 : 54 (by weight) / 1 : 1 (by volume)
Cleaning of Tools Clean all tools and application equipment with Thinner S immediately after use.
In cast of spray interruption, immediately flush mixing block and spray gun with
Thinner S.
