by the UGC u/s 2(f) of the UGC Act 1956, with the right to confer degree u/s 22(1) of the UGC

These centres of learning exemplify the group’s mission to promote quality technical and
higher education. And as a result, the number of students has gone from strength to strength
every year and now it has more than 5000 students in its campuses.
The group, continuing with its mission to provide higher & technical education to a larger
section of people, has touched a new height by promoting and sponsoring Mewar University.
The promoting body, with their honest efforts and unstinted dedication, have the conviction
to build a strong partnership with the Government of Rajasthan for ensuring the spread of
higher and technical education in the State.
Mewar’s culture, ethos, tradition and values are so ingrained in its soil that it is bestowed with

will undergo a steady transformation to blossom in life imbibed with the traits of greatness.
The University aims to inculcate among its students the spirit of universal brotherhood while
laying utmost emphasis on respect for Indian culture and traditions.
The Campus
The University campus is situated in the vicinity of the scenic Aravali ranges and spread over
sprawling 30 acres at Gangrar of Chittorgarh District (Rajasthan), just 18 km away from the
city of Chittorgarh. The campus can be easily approached by road and railway network as it is
situated on NH 79 (Delhi-Mumbai Highway) and connected with all the major cities through
broad-gauge railway tracks and roads. The nearest airport is Dabhok (Udaipur), which is 100
km away from the campus and is well connected with major cities through regular flights.
Mewar University has the unique distinction of being the only University in the District of
Chittorgarh (Rajasthan). The University is established to benefit students from every nook
and corner of India and other countries. The University fills up the void in the field of higher,
technical and vocational education in the Mewar region which, in spite of being rich in terms
of agriculture, industrial and business growth, has lagged behind in education as compared
to the neighboring districts like Udaipur, Ajmer and Jaipur.
The campus is divided into various functional zones like Academic and Administrative Block,
Hostels and Residential complex for faculty and staff. It has co-educational facilities with
separate hostel accommodation for boys and girls. Besides academics, the well laid campus
provides all facilities for cultural, recreation and sports activities.
The Destination
Mewar University is situated in the land of Maharana Pratap, Rani Padmini & Mirabai – the
embodiment of vigor, sacrifice and love, has wonderfully developed it’s environment for
perfect blending of new age education combining Indian values and ethics.
Within a very short span of time, the University has become a jostling centre of human growth
& excellence due to conducive coexistence of students, teachers and physical infrastructure.
The Mewar Education Society having successfully run various academic institutions for
more than a decade decided to establish the University for providing the students a unique
methodology of teaching which the today’s world is lacking.
Indian Education is passing through a very critical juncture as quality is out numbered
by quantity in most of the cases. Students who seek quality education will now have their
destination at Mewar University which started with a humble beginning with Swami
Vivekananda’s ideology in mind that ‘Education is the Manifestation of Perfection already
in Men’.
Experience of our highly motivated teachers take out this sustained & inherited perfection
from each of our student which enables them to face the world every where and any where
with assured success.
