Round tables are just around the corner and before you present your project you will have to introduce yourself
and the class to the evaluators.
Paragraph 1: Describe the class. What did you learn this year? What was something interesting that
you learned? What was most important?
Journalism is a class where you get to learn to write articles which is what I got to learn this year.
Something interesting that I learned is how and what I need to write an article. The most important
thing about writing articles is you need to have important details that bring excitement to the
audience.

Paragraph 2: Describe your experience with the class this trimester. What are you strong in? What
struggles did you have? Where have you grown this year?

When I first started this class, I really didn’t enjoy it, but I did enjoy writing. Mr. Janosch’s teaching
wasn’t as great as Mr. Farrell, but as times passed I enjoyed learning from him. Therefore, I enjoy
writing articles. The struggles I had when writing articles is interviewing people, deciding what topic
to do and thinking of questions to ask my interviewers. I have seen my growth as a young teenager,
for example in the beginning of the school year I struggled when it came to writing, but as months
passed I have now seen my ability to write great articles due to asking for feedback from my
teacher and peers. I like Journalism class because it is very interesting to be informed about events
going on around the world and in school. This class was very helpful for me, because I became
more confident to have interviews with people which I have never done before.

Paragraph 3: Describe one of the projects you will present. How did you create this work? How
does it show off your skills in journalism? What are you most proud of about this work?

One of the project I will present is a feature article that is titles as “Taking a First Big Step into
Teenage Life”.This was my first article that I wrote in this class. I created this work by interviewing
people about my partner and collecting a lot of information. This article was getting to know my
partner. It shows my skills in Journalism by being able to write an article. I am proud of everything
that I have done in this class because I worked hard, and put my effort into it. I am proud of using
the skills I learned onto my articles such as a headline, byline, hook, and lead.
Paragraph 4: Describe the other projects you will present. How did you create this work? How does
it show off your skills in English? What are you most proud of about this work?

The second project that I will present is my Editorial Article that is titled as “Equal Pay for Equal
Work” that was written by my close friend and I. It shows my skills in English by using topics I used
in my articles. I am proud of this work because I put a lot of effort in it and tried to use more
academic vocabulary.
So, I hope you my viewers will enjoy reading my articles that I have worked very hard and put effort
on.
