Fortune Landmark Hotels Ltd. is a wholly owned subsidiary of ITC Ltd. ITC Limited entered
the hotel business on 18 October 1975 with the opening of a hotel in Chennai. Set up in 1995 to
cater to the mid-market to upscale hotel segment in business and leisure destinations, today it is a
professionally managed Hotel Management Company, with 45 operating hotels and many more
coming up soon across the country.
Fortune Hotels operates across a wide spectrum of brand extensions, thereby creating specialised
products, designed to suit the specific needs of various segments. My Fortune, Fortune Selects,
Parks and Inns are business hotels in metros and non-metros, and Fortune Resorts are hotels in
popular holiday destinations.
The chain has been the recipient of numerous accolades and awards – Today's Traveller Award
for 'Best First Class Business Hotel Chain 2017 & 2016', PATWA International Award for the

The H.R. functions are done by H.R. manager. Following functions are done by H.R. manager:

Recruitment:
The Recruitment is done when hotel informs about the vacancy to the ITC that are in need for
different post or at different designation of management. The Recruitment is done from-
1. By College/Institute
2. By Job portals
3. By Advertising
If the post is in need of H.R. manager than for vacancy of that post there should be
minimum 5 years of experience and also he/she should be experienced from Hotel
Industry too.
Main Recruitments of Freshers are done of that students who belongs to Hotel
Management Course only.
Other recruitment of Freshers are also done of MBA students(Marketing/Finance) but
just for Marketing purpose of Hotel.
Selection:
Selection of the candidate for various department is quiet strict and they have to pass various
rounds of the process of selection.They are:-
I. Written examination
II. Medical examination
III. Practical examination
IV. Personal interview
PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT:
Promotion:
The Promotion to the employee are given as per the individual performance and
indicates in the organization and also by participating in activities held in the hotel.
From all the employees of Hotel only 20% employees get promotion on the performance
basis. Because Hotel Landmark Fortune doesn’t give much promotions to the
employees.
Rather than promotion, they are been motivated through different schemes & awards.
Performance Appraisal:
Employees are also given appraisals on the basis of their behavior during the work.
Maintaining relations with other employees.
Satisfaction of Customers whether they are satisfied from the employee’s services.
EMPLOYEE SATISFACTION:
The H.R. motivates the employee by communications and solves the problem of employee and
it will help in development of employee.
Other Benefits :- The following are other benefits given to the employee of the hotel.
They are- Bonus on Festival, Medical facility.
