1st REGIONAL SCHOLARS SUMMIT

To: Assistant Schools Division Superintendents

Division Scholarship Coordinators
All Concerned

1. Pursuant to Regional Memorandum No. 149 s. 2018 issued by the Regional Office
through the Human Resource Development Division (HRDD) shall conduct the 1st
Regional Scholars Summit on October 24-26, 2018 at the Oriental Hotel, Legazpi
City.

2. The summit aims to:

a. share issues, concerns, and best practices to ensure sustainability of the
program;
b. create pool of new scholars and develop camaraderie among scholars;
c. discuss scholarship policy and guidelines;
d. gather inputs and establish network from different national Government
Agency (NGAs) and sponsoring institutions/organizations offering
international and local scholarship programs/grants and
e. gather feedback in the implementation of the scholarship program.

3. Enclosure to this memorandum is the List of Participants to attend the summit.

4. Participants are required to pre-register online through this link:

5. Participants are expected to be at the venue on October 24, 2018 at 1:00PM for the
registration. The meals to be served are the morning and afternoon snacks, and
lunch. The first meal to be served will be the PM snacks on October 24 while the last
meal will be PM snacks on October 26, 2018.

6. All participants must bring their smart casual attire to be worn during the fellowship
night on October 25, 2018.

7. Travel and other expenses relative to this activity shall be charged to MOOE/local
funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.
