What’s My Treat?
I picked it up, cold and wet. ?
It’s going to taste good, I’ll bet.
My mom sliced into the pink fruit.
My small piece looked juicy and cute.
I see the seeds, so little and black.
I want to taste this healthy snack.
I take one bite, so sugary sweet,
So cool, so refreshing, in the hot summer heat.
Can you guess my tasty treat?
I’ll share with you, if you keep it neat.

My T.V. Show
I don’t want to go! I want to stay home. It’s Saturday
morning and my favorite cartoon is on. I don’t want to
go! My mom and dad have asked me to get my shoes on
three times. I keep asking them to let me watch for five
more minutes. I don’t want to go! Mom said we will only
be at the grocery store for thirty minutes
and then we can come home and I will be
able to go back to my show. Even if it is only
going to take thirty minutes, I don’t want
to go!

The Pond
Down by the pond, I hear the croaks
Of frogs and toads who are having a soak.
The smell of rain and soil fill my nose,
Slimy mud and water run over my toes.
Throwing smooth, chilly rocks into the pond
Is something my brother and I do to bond.
“Tweet, tweet” says the bird loudly overhead,
“Let’s go,” were the only words my brother said.

Spring is Here
Spring is here,
The flowers are growing.
Spring is here,
The tree’s blooms are showing.
Spring is here,
The butterflies start to fly.
Spring is here,
Let’s watch the birds go by.
Spring is here,
The rain is starting to fall.
Spring is here,
It brings joy to all.
