The Problem
Most people understand that bullying is a problem in schools and society, but do not
reach out to help restrain that problem. Bystanders and victims of bullying are too
scared to confront the problem. If this problem continues, it can take a negative toll on a
victims life and put them in danger. This problem needs to be addressed and handled by
everyone, not just those who are bullied.
Definition of Bullying

vulnerable).

Advice for the Bullied & the
Bystander facebook.com

The Bully: Studies have indicated that bullies often come from homes where physical
punishment is used, where the children are taught to strike back physically as a way to
handle problems, and where parental involvement and warmth is distant.

The Bystander: As a bystander it is your duty to stop acts of bullying when you hear or
see them occurring. You do not have to get into a physical altercation to stop a bully. As
a bystander you have an opportunity to go and get a school official to stop the bully.

The bullied:Try to understand the bully, bullying is something you learn from early on,
maybe try to talk them and calm them down. But if all else fails do not keep it silent,
speak up and defend yourself, tell a teacher or someone who can help you.
Conclusion
Bullying has been a common problem in public schools and is hardly addressed by
students and officials. The problem with bullying has a huge impact on a victims life and
can change them forever if it’s harsh enough. Bullying is a problem that can only be
solved by others stepping up and confronting it. People cannot solve the problem unless
they address it to the bully directly or an authority indirectly. If the problem is not
addressed it can take a toll on the victims life and promote the bully to keep doing
harmful things to others. The solution to the problem involves everyone not just the ones
involved.
