1.

Now that you have nearly completed your spring practicum, what advice would give
to an incoming student about the organization you interned with?

Now that I have completed my internship with Pro-Model and Talent Management, I
would tell students to practice professionalism as soon as they possibly can.
Learning professionalism early will separate them from other students. There was a
high level of professionalism at my internship at all times. It was a very intense
internship and you had to be your P’s and Q’s at all times with Mary and the staff. I
believe that asking questions is very important when it comes to anything. At my
internship, if I didn’t speak up or ask for clarification on something, I would not have
been able to do my job properly. You have to ask the right questions and be sure
that you know what you are doing all the time while working for a modeling agency.
Everything is quick pace and instantaneous.

2. Explain in detail using examples of how you contributed to your organization.

I believe that I contributed a younger more modern touch to my organization. At

PMTM there are mostly older generational people who work there, and I believe
that my vast knowledge on current technology really helped other staff members
learn more and understand technology more. I believe that I added a new type of
look to PMTM. I contributed diversity to the office and I believe I brought a different
style of writing, which sometimes worked and at other times did not.

5. Provide examples of how your organization was successful and ways they need to
improve.

One example of how my organization was successful was the many talents that they
signed who went off and completed advertisements with Nike, Dick’s Sporting Goods,
commercials and other top entertainment. Many PMTM talents go off and create long
lasting careers within the entertainment industry, which is PMTM's job to do. Their sole
job is to develop the amateur talents that they have and eventually send them to other
agencies where their career is able to take off. One example of a way that they need to
improve is, I believe that the establishment as a whole need to be more transparent. It
seems like there are things that they do that most of their talent don’t know about.
Some situations that the organization puts their clients in aren’t ideal and for the most
part the client would not know why things happened the way they did, or they won’t
actually know the actual truth of things.
6. What did you learn about yourself as an intern that you could not learn in the class
room.

What I learned about myself at this internship is as an intern I believe that I can work in
a fast-pace office. This internship help me realize that I am more organized than I
thought I was. It taught me that you have to stay organized in fast-pace environments to
be able to be successful.

7. How did this practicum prepare you for "the real world?"

This practicum helped me prepare for the real world in a way that there’s only you to be
held accountable. You can’t blame anything or any work on anyone else. When you
make a mistake, you have to own it and bounce back quickly from that mistake. I believe
that this is going to help me tremendously in the real-world. As an intern everything falls
on you and you have to be ready to work on whatever at any time. I believe the real
world mirrors this concept.
