Description of artifact/assignment: My first academic artifact is a photo that I took in Digital

Photography.

Why did you choose this as one of your artifacts/assignments? I chose this artifact because it is
one of my favorite photos I took this year and it shows that I have improved on my soft skills.

What academic skills did you use that are specific to this artifact/assignment? I improved on my
comfort with technology because I used the camera to take the photo and I also used photoshop
to edit the photo.

What general academic skills did you use (skills that would be used in any academic class)? I
used the skill of applying what I’ve learned and applying it in my work.

Did you see growth in your targeted soft skills through the course of working on this
Artifact/Assignment? Explain. I did see growth in my targeted soft skill because I used
technology to produce this piece.

Provide an example of how these academic and/or soft skills are used in a career in which you
are interested. The skills that I used in this artifact will be used in my career because I will need
to use technology in my career.

Description of artifact/assignment: My second academic artifact is a vocabulary test from

English class with words from the book, One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest.

Why did you choose this as one of your artifacts/assignments? I chose this artifact because I got
100 percent on the test and I’m proud of it.

What academic skills did you use that are specific to this artifact/assignment? The academic skill
that I used on this artifact is study skills.

What general academic skills did you use (skills that would be used in any academic class)?
Study skills is also a skill that is used for every class.

Did you see growth in your targeted soft skills through the course of working on this
Artifact/Assignment? Explain. I did see growth in my targeted soft skills because I used study
skills to receive a good grade on the test.

Provide an example of how these academic and/or soft skills are used in a career in which you
are interested. These skills are important for my career because I will need to study in college
and possibly beyond.
