“SOLAR BOTTLE BULB”

We all are of NIET college 2nd year EN department.

PROBLEM:- Day and night lighting problem in village.

SOLUTION:- We all know that, sun is the big source of energy in the world. Then
here a solution of lighting in a village, where no any transmission line of electricity or
which can not afford bill of electricity, in a low cost by the use of solar concept/energy.
DETAILS:- Here we describe project in two parts first one is day light system and
second one is night light system.
Day light system:- Here we take a small piece of GI sheet make a hole in center and a
plastic bottle filled with filtered water and some bleach liquid and now, fit tightly the
bottle in the hole of GI sheet, and some part of bottle made above GI sheet. Then the
whole system is fit in the roof of village by making a specific hole. Then it glow like
electric bulb around of 50-55 watts in day. It totally depend on strength of sun light.
Here we add the bleach to the water makes sure that the water stays clean and
transparent without algae growing inside and turning the water green.
The working of this setup is –Dispersion of light
By the use of GI sheet strength of light coming is concentrate and when daylight beam
reach the top part of the bottle then the water filed bottle disperse the light beams and
glow like electric bulb.
But its drawback is it works only in day.

Night light system:- Then we add some concept in it for working in night also. It uses
solar panel to charge a rechargeable battery. Hence during day time solar panel provide
power to charge battery and if required light can be turned ON.
The working is simple during day time the rechargeable battery get charge. Whenever
we need to turn on the light switch is turned. Additionally this project can also be used
as mobile charge. Initially LED is connected inside plastic bottles as it reflect more light.
Inside Water LED is covered with waterproof coating. Even during night time as there
will be less voltage from solar panel, battery will provide necessary power to turn ON led
light. For it we use circuit diagram,

Advantage: Can be use both during day and night time, mobile can be charged.
Disadvantages: Little bit expensive then previous one, require maintenance.
