ABOUT IIBE
IIBE was established in Year 1989 by Late Shri Er. M. C. Bhide (Chief Eng. Railway) with the aim
to promote bridge engineering in the Country. A er sad demise of Shri. M. C. Bhide on
7th July, 2018, IIBE con nues to promote Bridge Engineering with same enthusiasm and
passion. IIBE is the only professional body in India exclusively dealing in bridge engineering.
It provides a common pla orm among the stake holders to disseminate knowledge, ensure
con nual development of bridge engineering and learn the use of new innova ons and Er. Madhav C. Bhide

Spread over 33 local centers with about 7000 strong members force and 169 ins tu onal members, IIBE has created
laurels for the Country. It has also published 29,200 pages of Technical Literature. IIBE also holds Out-standing Bridge
Na onal awards compe on, annually.

ABOUT BRPNNL
Bihar Rajya Pul Nirman Nigam (BRPNN) was formed on 11th June, 1975 under Indian Company Act, 1956 as a
Govt. Company.
Its main objec ves are -
Construc on of Bridges/Roads.
Maintenance of Bridges.
To undertake other works of Civil Engineering.
To act as Technical Advisors, Consultants.
The Nigam is registered as a Public Limited Company under Indian Companies Act, 1956 and it is a Govt. Company
as total share capital of Rs. 500 Lakhs is pledged in the name of Governor of Bihar. The Nigam is governed by
Managing Director on behalf of Board of Directors nominated by the Govt. under guidelines set by Memorandum of
Associa on and Ar cles of Associa on along with work rules men oned therein. BRPNNL has constructed a large
number of structures using innova ve and latest technology such as prestressed segmental/extradosed Bridges.
BRPNNL has a record of delivering almost one bridge on alterna ve day.
