Balancing of Sense – Natural Mantra’s

All our senses are vital for our well- being mentally and physically. Follow some
simple tips and make your life better.

We encounter the world through our senses. Simply put , we rely on our senses to
for instance, the touch of the chair against our bottom tells us that it is safe to sit
down! In addition to these functional attributes, our senses are vital for our mental,
emotional and spiritual well-being. In China , it is believed that the senses are
united with the universe. They are seen as the gates to all that happens and the
open windows of our whole beings.

It is a well-known fact that every molecule, every atom of the universe, is in

constant vibration , vibrating on its own frequency and wavelength. The vibrations
of sound, colour , smell , taste , heat and light enter our bodies constantly through
all our senses. We can , therefore use all of these media to enhance our total well-
being and help the body restore the balance of mind, body and spirit in the
following ways:

Balancing the surrounding - You can bring nature into your home with fresh cut
flowers, live plants , natural sunlight and the sounds of birds and water.Wall

or incense stands along with natural aroma’s rejunvetors.

1. Sound – Pleasing sounds encourage relaxation and are an incorporates the

natural sounds of birds, leaves rustling, babbling brooks , waves , whales
singing or failing rain or God & Goddess Mantra’s Chanting.
Music is very therapeutic, but silence too important for physical and
emotional health. So sit silently in a room of your personal choice and let
your mind relax in silence.
Have healing sounds surrounding you , such as an indoor waterfall or a wind
chime. Open the window and listen to the birds or sit beside a stream or river
and absorb the sounds of nature into every cell of the body.
Personally , the ultimate in relaxation is hearing the beautiful romantic voice
of Agentha faltskog , the blonde from Seventies super group ABBA, pink-
floyd or Ravi Shankar Sitar vadan. Just hearing him/her voice singing the
Winner Takes It All or Wrap Your Arms Around Me sends me into deep
relaxation and into another , more peaceful world.
Sight Clear natural light from the sun raises our spirits and encourages
health and well being through the pineal gland. Light is energy in its truest
form. Light and colour create mood and atmosphere. Combined, they have a
the ability to dazzle or enhance, dim or brighten your mood.

To increase light , have silky textured wall paper or use vinyl silk paint on your
walls. Scatter glass-top tables and mirrors , crystals and candles placed in water
around your home.

Have full spectrum daylight bulbs.

Sit in a sun- bathed and warmed room , and see how great it feels. Colour affects
us emotionally, physically and spiritually and stimulates our senses by encouraging
relaxation or activity. So choose the colours of your rooms , towels and accessories
with care.

Blue : Harmony and peace.

Violet : Royal and sensitivity

Red : Warmth and vitality

Orange : Invigoranting and warm

Yellow : Joyful and uplifting

Green : Nature and hope

Smell – A penetrating aroma cultivates all the senses and is good for improving
your power of memory.

Make sure you get clean ,pure air (use ionisers or a humidifier).

Place herb pillows under your head at night or when you are taking a nap.

Have cut flowers to bring invigorating energy and perfume to the room.(Clear glass
vases in curved shapes add tranquil Chi energy).

Use essential oils in an oil burner. ( Ghee is pure and very positive healer).

Taste – The energy of the five sense should be in harmony with taste.

Drink natural herbal teas or pure mineral water when possible and avoid coffee and
normal every day tea.

Nature - Time spent in natural surroundings is also a natural way to soothe and
heal the mind. You can bring nature into your home with fresh cut flowers, live
plants, natural sunlight and the sounds of birds and water. You can walk amongst
the trees, mountains and by clean rivers, absorbing nature at its purest. If you
cannot create this feeling at home or outside, just imagine the following : “Walking
barefoot through grass , feeling the coolness and moisture of the morning
Himalayan mountain dew, stopping by a clear, fresh stream falling over smooth
rocks.Dip your toes in the water and listen to the voice of the mountains .Allow the
light and warmth of the sun to permeate you. Breathe in the pure , clean
Himalayan air. Now imagine night is falling. The moon is full and round. Gaze up at
the myriad stars drifiting off into the solar system. Float back to earth once again to
walk barefoot through the grass and feel the morning Himalayan dew between your
toes.”
