The four-star general, Colin Powell once said, “A dream doesn’t become reality through
magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work.” My one goal in life is to become an
Information Technology Support Specialist, and to achieve this I have to work hard to get to the

thing in my opinion.
comfortable lifestyle. My schedule will be flexible with my needs, being part time with an
annual salary of $50,210. I will be able to live in a small house with no family, the materials I
To reach my goal, I will focus on two very important high school classes. These classes
will be my Math and English classes. English will be essential because I have to speak properly
to the person that is asking for computer assistance and math because there will be events which
will revolve around certain complex programs. OSTC will help me through learning the basics of
computer parts and troubleshooting, and will help me with more opportunities in the workforce.
After I graduate high school, I will go to Oakland Community College. Since I live in the area
where OCC is, my tuition will be $1,640 a semester. I will probably pay for the tuition through
student loans.

that I need to improve on are leadership and the ability to accept feedback. The experiences that
really have showed me my social skills are my volunteer work at my former church, where I
handed out coffee to anyone that asked for it. Other experiences would be at my work as a
busser, taking dishes, cups, and silverware from tables when the people sitting at the tables no
longer need them. My most recent experience with problem solving would be when my
computer was crashing on me. I first checked the temperatures of the parts, changed the fan
settings, and when that did not work, I reseated the graphics card. Then, I realized it was the
motherboard screws being over tightened, which caused the crashes. I feel like the one thing that
sets me apart from others is my social abilities. I like to use big, over descriptive words to
convey the situation at hand, or even in a normal conversation. I am passionate for this job
because I love technology. I love how new technology is created and I can learn from it,
especially when it is involved in problems a computer user will have, which will give me more
knowledge. Even when there is a problem bigger than me, I take some time and think back to
other solutions used in other problems that are from the past. I am excited for a career like this,
