I. Introduction

Online education has been a trend nowadays wherein students and

teachers work together hand-in-hand virtually, anytime and anywhere. Mastery

learning was proposed by around 1920s that made at least two attempts to

produce mastery in students’ learning. In the mastery learning project proposal, it

provided simulations to students to achieve certain tasks. But in the contrary,

technology was unavailable by that time so it began to become quite unpopular till

it fades; lack of technologies that could sustain a successful implementation. Data

visualization involves specific terminology, some of which is derived from statistics

which are used in combination to support a meaningful analysis or visualization.

Data visualization is an artistic form of science and a field of data science that uses

graphic presentation or from the word itself: visuals, that represents numerical data

that are embedded in plots, lines, dots, or bars, that visually delivers the

quantitative message or information. A statistical view which is descriptive by some,

but also a grounded theory. It also uses other development tools or instruments to

convey and communicate information effectively and efficiently. Increased

amounts of data created by Internet activity and an expanding number of sensors

in the environment are referred to as "big data". With this method, data

visualization, users can easily determine, analyze and reason the given evidences.

Along with its accessibility to read complex data, the output would be much easier

to fathom as it processes raw data into simpler and usable reports. But processing,
analyzing and communicating big data present analytical and ethical challenges

for data visualization though practitioners or known as data scientists that can help

address this challenge.

This research aims to explain the strategies as well as factors of mastery

learning data visualization application in programming for easier facilitation of the

performance of students; a general view of students regarding mastery learning

data visualization application concerning their academic focus. Content of

research may include application or software programming as simulations for this

tool that provides an efficient facilitation or tracking data collection. A part of

advancement and progression by the means of being industrialized. Guides the

contemporary generation. Also answers the questions: how the mechanism of

online grading system works? Virtually, how do students access and be graded

upon? How to make a software application or program for academic usage? how

is this application useful to students? Appropriate for academic inquiry within

school premises, online supervision and grade tracking, and necessary for future

purposes on our desired tracks.

II. Methodology

The primary research hypothesis is the necessary and efficient use of this

software/application as an advantage for both students and professors for

academic usage, History of online mastery learning and data visualization merged

in modern society; the development of its nature from simple reports to the present

emphasis of complex and detailed outcome of reports. Valid for academic means

as a survey or interview, may be consulted with school facilitators. The

methodology this research will employ includes a review secondary sources about

Data visualization and Mastery Learning; sources about the invention of online

mastery learning, academic performance and online encoding students’ academic

report; and sources about the invention of data visualization in certain sectors of

the student’s nature over time. Will create an application or software for the study.

Includes conceptual framework of the program that would guide the overall

research.
