I am currently submitting a resume and cover letter because I am very interested in becoming a writer
within your English Composition I class. I saw you had written on your board that the position was open
and thought it would be a good opportunity, as I will be pursuing a teaching career in my future and feel
this position could help prepare me.

I may not excel in the writing field but, throughout my Bradford Area High School experience, I have
taken Honors English courses and have come out with an overall grade of 85% or higher. I also feel I
would be best for this position because I am skilled in telling the difference between active and passive
