Back Home

I spent my holidays at my birth place, where is in Magelang. I was really happy come
to my home. I could do anything that I couldn’t do in my dormitory. For four days I did many
interesting activities there, such as cooking, shopping at the traditional market, swimming,
visiting my grandmother, going to Selo.

I left Solo at 11:00 by motorcycle to Magelang. The road I traveled was different from
usual. It was more crowded and jammed. Trips that could usually be taken for three hours
must be taken for four half hours. I also found many traffic accidents on the road. I arrived
home at 15:30 and I was grateful that I arrived home safely. My mother welcomed me.

The habits at my dormitory was different with the habits at my home, at the dormitory I
could wake up anytime, but in my home I had to wake up at 04:30 then helped my mother to
cook. Every morning at 05:15 I went to “sendang” to swim with my sister. In 06.30 I backed
home then accompanied my mother went to market for selling side dishes. I loved my
activities in the market, in the market I could socialize with many people and I could buy
anything what I want. I backed to my home at 10:30. Before I backed to my home I always
dropped to my grandmother’s home to give some snacks that I bought before.

At the evening I helped my mother to cook all the side dishes that would be sold
tomorrow. I made the flavor, my mother prepared all the material then my brother washed all
the equipments. We enjoyed that moment. In the mid-cooking activities we talked anything.

At the third day of my holiday I went to Selo with my friends. There was very cold, so I
and my friends bought “bajigur” and “tempe mendoan” in mini restaurant there. Bajigur
would make our bodies warmer. We also enjoyed the beautiful scenery of Merapi and
Merbabu. We took many pictures there.

I backed to Solo in Wednesday morning with my brother. I was really enjoyed my

holiday in Magelang. I hope the next holiday I can spent my holiday again in Magelang with
more interesting activities.
