FOCUS OF LESSON: ​Dribbling and passing a soccer ball
STUDENT PERFORMANCE OBJECTIVES (SPO):
By the end of the lesson, students should be able to:

(C) Identify two different ways to shoot a soccer ball, and the benefits of each during closure at the end of
the lesson (S2.H2.L1)

(P) Students will demonstrate competency in kicking a soccer ball on goal by performing a close goal shot
with inside of the foot, and a power shot with the laces of the foot by performing correct cues by the end
of the lesson (S1.H3.L1)

(A) Applies knowledge of rules and etiquette of soccer by following safety rules and instructions at all
times during the lesson (S4.H5.L1)

1. Provide opportunities for all students to succeed by providing extensions for each activity during the
lesson

We will be teaching outside in an open space. Make sure to keep myself in a position where I can see
everyone, and offer lots of feedback during skills.

33-50:00 Activity 3 Power and


finesse:

they must kick a

may challenge
someone. IF the
person they challenged
makes both shots, the
challenger is out, if
they do not make both
they are out.
- Play until there is a
winner

they are safe, and
automatically move on
to the next round

remaining that did not
score is out

for remainder of class
