Student Teaching Experience


Purple Sage Elementary School – First Grade (August 2018-December 2018)
 Instructed all subject areas using strategies that catered to student needs. Assessed students in math, reading,
and spelling. Handled all responsibilities of the lead teacher. Created and taught common core based
lessons. Attended parent teacher conferences, professional development meetings, and maintained
communication with parents and other teachers.
Morley Nelson Elementary School – Third Grade (January 2019-May 2019)
 Developed strong classroom and behavior management skills while working in a difficult classroom setting.
Collaborated with other teachers and professionals to expand skills in math instruction and lead a high level
math group focused on advancing skills and knowledge. Handled all responsibilities of the lead teacher,
frequently taking over the classroom. Participated in and contributed to team planning.
Substitute Teaching (February 2019-May 2019)
 Substitute in both placements during absences of the lead teacher. Occasionally substituted for other
classrooms when needed in first, third, and fifth grade. Registered substitute with the Boise School District.
Handled all responsibilities of a lead and substitute teacher. Designed substitute plans in my own absences.
