Summary of a phone conversation of HAFEZ EHSAN ( Sri Lanka) with a Mowlavi who is a businessman as well:

Mowlavi: I was told that you are not in favor of Tabligh work introduced by Mowlavi Ilyas Kandhelvi

HAFEZ EHSAN ( Sri Lanka) : Yes hazrat you right,

Mowlavi : May i know the reason?

HAFEZ EHSAN ( Sri Lanka) : Sure hazrat, have you read Malfoozat of Mowlavi Ilyas Kandhelvi?

Mowlavi : No

HAFEZ EHSAN ( Sri Lanka) : Fine, He says in it that he receives inspirations in his dreams, and the interpretation of
The Verse Kuntum Khayra Ummatin given to him is that O Ilyas, you have been sent like a Prophet for this nation,

So Hazrat, do you agree with this?

Mowlavi : Astaghfirullah, how could he say this?

HAFEZ EHSAN ( Sri Lanka) : Absolutely true, but unfortunately he has uttered this, and have you heard of his
Teachers, such as Mowlavi Rasheed Ahmad Gangohi?

Mowlavi : Yes yes, he is a big scholar

HAFEZ EHSAN ( Sri Lanka) : He says in his book Fatawa Rasheediya that Allah is able to lie and also that Allah is
able to act against His promises by misquoting the term QADEER. Whereas, *it is a Must for a Muslim to believe
that,* for Allah all kinds of lying, illiteracy, mistaking, cruelty, to be shameless, anything negativity are “Absolutely
Impossible acts” for Allah The Lord of the creation.

Mowlavi : Yes you are right

HAFEZ EHSAN ( Sri Lanka) : Further Allah’s attributes are eternal, so when Allah says He is truthful, it mean He is
truthful eternally, so if there was a possibility to lie then it would mean that Allah is liar eternally because no
attribute of Allah is given later on. Do you Agree with this ?

Mowlavi : Absolutely right, all the attributes of Allah are eternal thus He can never lie.

HAFEZ EHSAN ( Sri Lanka) : Khayr, Have you heard of Khaleel Ahmad Ambetthvi?

Mowlavi : Yes

HAFEZ EHSAN ( Sri Lanka) : He wrote in Baraheen e Qaatia that the knowledge of Shaytan is superior to the
knowledge of Nabi e Kareem ‫ﷺ‬.

Mowlavi : Astaghfirullah, never heard such.

HAFEZ EHSAN ( Sri Lanka) : He also says that to prove the knowledge of Shaytan is Islamic but to prove the
knowledge of Nabi ‫ ﷺ‬is Shirk? Can Shirk be divided in this manner ? If so, he is taking Shaytan as equal to Allah by
this definition, right?

Mowlavi : No, this is not the definition of Shirk

HAFEZ EHSAN ( Sri Lanka) : Have you heard of Ismail Dehlvi?

Mowlavi : Yes, the scholar of the same group

HAFEZ EHSAN ( Sri Lanka) : Hmmm, he says in his book Taqwiyyatul Imaan that The Prophets, the Awliya and the
Angels dearest and nearest to Allah do not possess value even of a shoe maker in the Sight of Allah and also that
The Prophet ‫ ﷺ‬doesn't have any authority even on an Ant.
Mowlavi : Oh no, but you see Hafiz Saheb, I follow Tabligh Jamat for they do good work and we started to pray after
being with them.

HAFEZ EHSAN ( Sri Lanka) : You see hazrat, prayer is obligatory upon us and we should fulfill the obligatory acts by
ourselves and not by waiting for others to tell us.

Mowlavi : Yes you right

HAFEZ EHSAN ( Sri Lanka) : You see hazrat, we do not have any issue with the Dawah work, what we wanted is
that stop following the above scholars and start propagating from the books of Pious Predecessors such as Imam
Ghazali Alayhir Rahmah

Mowlavi : Thats wonderful, but Hafiz Saheb we never heard such so i assume that they do not follow those scholars
anymore.

HAFEZ EHSAN ( Sri Lanka) : Had they to disclose all the above corrupt beliefs at the beginning, will you or anyone
join them? And if they do not follow those scholars, then why do they publish those books from the Maktabs of
Deoband ?

Mowlavi : Are you sure that these are still being published? If so, I will surely buy those books and speak to the
authorized people during my next visit to Delhi, India

HAFEZ EHSAN ( Sri Lanka) : Yes and it is available in all the Deobandi bookshops, ask them for Baraheen e Qaatia,
Tehzeerun Naas, Fatawa Rasheedia, Taqwiyyat ul Imaan etc but let me tell you their answer in advance,
they will say that what are we to do with these books and the authors are no more so just leave this aside.
For which you should ask them, that mean you agree that their beliefs are unislamic? If so, why these books are
still being published and why this hypocrisy to address them as your great leaders ? Why not stop following their
teachings and begin Dawah work from the teachings of Pious Predecessors?

Mowlavi : Sure, I will definitely ask , and thanks for updating me, I was truly unaware of all these.

HAFEZ EHSAN ( Sri Lanka) : May Allah protect our Imaan. All the best.
