RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM

RATIONALE:

Educational research is important because it is conducted in order to provide trustworthy information regarding educational problems and their solutions.
Educators whose careers have followed a trajectory from classroom teacher to teacher educator, the most valuable thing we can share with our students is praxis, or
“practice grounded in theory and theory grounded in practice.” (Wink,2000) It is in this zone of praxis that we help new teachers grapple with the understanding of not
just what we do even how we do it. When the what and how are connected to the why, teachers can be powerful and effective decision- makers in their classrooms
because the choices they make are grounded.

Hence, research has become an evolving vital component in the 21st century teaching and learning and in our quest to quality education. This means that
teachers nowadays should develop and possess skills of research for them to be equipped with scientific skills in dealing with various problems in the classroom or
school which adversely affect the teaching and learning process.

OBJECTIVES:

1. To assess the capacity of teachers in crafting Action Research.

2. To identify the number of existing and immediate problems encountered in the classroom or emerging issues in policy -making.

3. To pinpoint the number of addressed problems and issues.

4. To find the number of disseminated and utilized Action Research.
