 Rope Access Technique (RAT) is a safe method of working at height
where ropes and associated equipment are used to gain access to
and from the work place, and to be supported there. Rope Access
Technique give more cost-effective way of working at height.
The advantage of using rope access methods mainly lies in the safety and speed with
which workers can get to or from difficult locations and then carry out their work,
often with minimal impact on other operations and the nearby area.
The primary objective when using rope access methods is to plan, manage and carry
out the work with minimal accidents, incidents or dangerous occurrences, i.e. to
ensure a safe system of work is maintained at all times, and with no damage to
property or harm to the environment.

majority of actual and potentially fatal incidents in the upstream oil
and gas industry. In fact, dropped objects (also known as falling items
and material fall) are among the Top 3 Causes of death and serious
injury across many industrial sectors. The same statistics apply to
leisure activities and home life too.
Dropped Object Prevention Scheme Inspections are a key element of dropped object
control and prevention. This survey is to be regularly conduct dropped object
inspections as part of routine maintenance and operational activities.
These surveys provide added assurances that all potential dropped object hazards
are identified, assessed and recorded such that control measures and corrective
actions can be recommended and implemented within the owner's Asset's

 Heat Treatment - PWHT reduces or redistributes the residual stress
introduced by the welding process with a technique that involves
heating, soaking and cooling the weldment/machined surface to
controlled temperatures. This improves the properties of the surface.
DWI specialises in performing PWHT for the steel and metal fabrication industries
including the construction of pressure vessels, pressure piping, storage tanks,
buildings, bridges, offshore platforms, power plants, oil and gas refineries, and
petrochemical plants.
There is often a mandatory requirement for PWHT due to compliance with welding
codes and specifications on certain materials including but not limited to carbon
steels, stainless/high alloy steels and work hardened steels. There may also be PWHT
requirements based on the wall thickness of the parts being welded together.
