PROJECT PROPOSAL

I. Title: GAD Seminar, Group Dynamics and Professional Learning Activities

II. Date and Venue: October 23-25, 2018, Pangasinan School of Arts and Trades
III. Source of Fund: School MOOE
IV. Budget Allocation: P 145, 725 (P 98, 700 from JHS and P 47, 025 from SHS)
V. Official Beneficiaries/Participants: Teaching and Non-teaching Personnel of Senior High School and
Junior High School PSAT DepEd
VI. Implementing Agency: PSAT-DepEd
VII. Rationale:
Pursuant to Executive Order No. 273 entitled Approving and Adopting the Philippine Plan for
Gender- Responsive Development, 1995-2025 that directs all agencies to institutionalize gender and
development (GAD) activities in government, the Pangasinan School of Arts and Trades (PSAT) through
the school GAD Focal Point System (GFPS), will conduct a Three-day Seminar on Gender and Development,
entitled “The Power of Positive Relationships, A Team Building Workshop and Leadership Training”.

This is in line with the fact that each organization seeks to pursue the achievement of its goals and
objectives through good governance and effective management of its resources. Among its resources,
human resource is the most challenging resource to manage because of the uniqueness of each individual
that comprise the organization.

To effectively manage its human resource, an organization needs to develop the people skills of
its key personnel. In developing the people skills of its key personnel, there are two elements that should
be considered: LEADERSHIP and TEAMWORK. Teamwork is the heart and soul of an organization. An
organization is comprised of individuals; and individual drive, skills and motivation are essential to its
success. But it’s the spirit of teamwork and leadership that breathes life and creativity into the
organization.

Hence, the need for a Group Dynamics and Professional Learning Activities and Leadership
Training.

VIII. Project Description: Three-day seminar, Professional Learning Activities and Leadership Training

IX. General/Specific Objectives: It specifically aims to:

1. Gain dynamic rapport among team members.
2. Open the climate for streamlined communication and surface hidden problems and agenda.
3. Improve leadership skills and learn ways to influence and motivate staff to achieve
exceptional performance in the workplace.
4. Learn and have fun at the same time!

XI. Project Methodology:

The project is GAD Seminar, Group Dynamics and Professional Learning Activities. The seminar
will be given to us by competent speakers of DBC Consultancy Services. The first topic is about Servant
and Transformational Leadership by Dr. Deborah Beltran-Castillo. After which, the second topic,
Personality Development and Ideal Images will be discussed by Mr. Allan S. Capua. The third topic,
Professional Ethics will be discussed by Mr. Maximo Alexis Tan while the fourth topic on Career
Development will be discussed by Dr. Deborah Beltran Castillo respectively. After each discussion, an open
forum will be conducted to better understand and internalize the essence of each topic.

After the discussions and lectures on the selected GAD topics, Group Dynamics and Professional
Learning Activities will be held by the equally competent lecturers and resource person from the DBC
Consultancy Services. This time the importance of Group Dynamics will be explained to us. There will be
six group dynamics and team building activities prepared for us by the DBC Consultancy Services to
achieve our goal of becoming one for the continuing success of our school.
