Dear Mr. Schmid

As a previous student of yours and someone who’s experienced in drumming and music. I’m
applying to teach the kids as a bass tech at the school. Being a graduate at the school and
someone who understands music would help out a lot teaching the students.

Allowing me to work with the students would allow them to have someone to listen to and would
also allow their level of performance to expand from where it’s been. From experience, having
no bass tech has been hard on the performers and even harder explaining the music and
musicality of the shows in the bass parts or even shaping the music to how it’s supposed to be.

I want to further my drumming career by marching in World Class groups in DCI & WGI. In the
years to come I want to march at Mandarins DBC, Bluecoats DBC, and at Broken City. I plan to
achieve this by practicing and having faith in my abilities to make the line for these groups.
