OVERVIEW
History
The Headlinerz Virtual Enterprise firm started up in October of 2018 in Aurora, Illinois. It is
legally described as an S Corporation and primarily targets the entertainment industry as well as
the clothing industry. Headlinerz is primarily split into two product lines. The first is a concert
ticket line with products including General Admission Tickets and Backstage Passes. The second
is an apparel line with products ranging from t-shirts, jerseys, and hoodies. Ultimately, our
customers will be provided with a high-quality concert experience.

Mission Statement
Our mission at Headlinerz is to enable our customer to have the best experience and easiest
access to a wide range of economical concert tickets, as well as provide an easy outlet to
purchase fun and affordable clothing that can be worn at events.

Purpose of Handbook
This handbook’s purpose is to answer any questions employees may have about the company’s
policies, rules, and regulations. This handbook will allow our employees to be put into a stable
and respectful environment. This handbook does not imply or express employment periods and
does not intend to persuade an employee to adhere to the company. It simply informs the reader
about the company’s environment, expectations, and history.

COMPANY POLICIES
Attendance

There is a certain level of punctuality expected for all Headlinerz employees. All employees are
expected to arrive to work on every workday with the exclusion of company-mandated holidays.
All employees are expected to be present at 7:25 AM. Any absences and late arrivals should
report to the Chief Administrative Officer, Sruthi Navneetha, and must be called in and approved
by the number listed: (630) 375-3300. Employees are granted a 5 minute grace period for
tardiness. Anyone who arrives beyond the grace period will be docked a proportionate amount of
payment based on the time of their arrival. Anyone that abuses the grace period more than three
times in a week will be docked one full day’s pay.

All absences must be reported ahead of time with valid explanations. Both excused and
unexcused absences will have a deduction in payment unless there is reasonable justification for
absence over a long extent of time.

Conduct
All employees are held at an expectation, everyday, that they will hold themselves with
professionalism and only work to better the culture and growth of the company.

Dress Code
Employees may dress casually throughout the normal work day. Employees are only required to
wear business attire in the certain events including, but not limited to: leadership conferences,
trade shows, networking, special visitors, career days and presentations.

Performance
Employee performances will be verified and reviewed quarterly. Supervisors will make sure that
the employees maintain a fresh and positive attitude, while enriching the entirety of the
workplace. It is expected that every employee carries out assigned tasks and meets deadlines.
The HR department will evaluate the employees and hold private discussions for room of
improvement. The employees of HR will also be evaluated by the CAO. Employees that go

above and beyond their expectations are considered for the prestigious employee of the month
award.

Company Property
All property, including but not limited to laptops and equipment, are for business use only.
Company materials cannot be used for personal use.

BENEFITS
Compensation
Pay will be based on position and attendance. Salary is a progressive bracket, in which higher
positions and titles equate to higher pay. However, pay may be deducted based off of offense.

The employee of the month will be recognized at the end of every month based on performance,
attendance, and capabilities. Recognizing hard working employees can help to drive company
morale and motivate workers to try harder. The person (selected) will have their name displayed
on the bulletin board for the entirety of the next month. They will also receive a personal
certificate of appreciation.

SAFETY
Diversity
Located in the Chicago suburb of Aurora, Headlinerz holds diversity to the utmost level of
importance. Employees of all backgrounds, ethnicities, nationalities, and sexualities are
welcome. Racial slurs and any sort of discrimination will not be tolerated under any
circumstances.

Sexual Harassment

Under no circumstance is sexual harassment tolerated. Extreme disciplinary actions will be taken
if any employee, executives or chiefs, are found to be involved in any type of sexual misconduct.
Headlinerz will not tolerate harassment on the basis of race, color, religion, creed, sex,
nationality, origin, age, disability, marital status, veteran status or any other status protected by
applicable law. Violations of this policy will not be tolerated.

Drug Use/alcohol use


At Headlinerz, usage of drugs or alcohol will not be tolerated. Our goal is to maintain a safe
work environment. Anyone that comes to work under the influence is subject to dismissal and
disciplinary action.

Theft
Theft under any circumstances is punishable to the fullest extent of the law. Everyone employed
in this company is subject to the same rights for the protection and safety of personal belongings
and adherence of individual responsibilities.

Bullying
Bullying is unacceptable. Bullying in any form, virtual, physical, or verbal, will met with
disciplinary actions.

In certain issues, employees may need to take an absence of leave. Supervisors must be notified
ahead of time.

Disciplinary Action
Disciplinary actions can vary based on the offense committed. For first time offences, a verbal
warning may be given. If the perpetrator commits an offense thrice, then they will be given a
written warning and possibly more severe punishment from higher level supervisors.

TERMINATION POLICIES
Voluntary Termination
Should there be a personal situation in which voluntary termination of employment is necessary,
the company requests that the employee provide two weeks advance notice. There may be a
withholding of their final paycheck if the two-weeks notice is not given.

Final Paycheck
Final paychecks will be available 2 weeks after final date of employment.

Grounds for Disciplinary Action
The company has the right to terminate any employee who violates the law, policies, and code of
conduct. Poor performance and irresponsibility are also grounds for termination.

The following actions are unacceptable and considered grounds for disciplinary action:
- Engaging in discrimination
- Engaging in abusive behavior
- Distributing illegal drugs
- Consuming/inheriting alcohol or illegal substances
- Theft
- Continuous unexcused absence
- Damage of the company’s property
- Falsification of documents and reports
- Extreme lying
- Failure to meet deadlines for responsibility
- Harm of oneself or others
- Disrespect to supervisors/ co-workers

Termination
Employment is based upon performance and behavior. Status may be terminated at any time due
to failure in complying with company policy.

EMPLOYEE HEALTH & SAFETY
Workplace Safety
All employees should know procedures in the case of fires, hurricanes, tornados and other
environmentally-prone disasters. All employees are to respect each other’s safety and
belongings.

Emergency Procedures
In the case of an emergency, call 911 immediately. In case of a fire or other emergency alert
proceed to the nearest exit or designated exit.
