 ABSTRACT
Following is a proposal submitted in the partial fulfilment of the degree of Bachelors of
Information Technology on the topic Library Management System (LMS) . Here, the
detail of the previous system and the problems related to them are stated first and then
the possible solutions in the form of new project is proposed. The contents that are
included in the later part of proposals are; Background of the previous system, Existing
problems, Possible solutions, Introduction, advantages, benefits and significance of
proposed system, estimated cost for the products, some expected outcomes and some
methodologies used to gather the relative information about the previous system and the
possibility of success of the project. To keep pace with new technology and tactics,
Library Management System (LMS) is a software solution, which allows a particular
places to manage a library. This will be done through online. The Library Management
System will be a real-time library database capable of handling small libraries(specially
colleges). Which will help us to faster searching and sorting. PHP/MYSQL, CSS,
JavaScript, Photoshop, Paint etc will be used to achieve the project because of its
flexibility. MSSQL Server will be used as the database management system.

offers us his divine blessings, patient, mental and psychical Strength to start this
project.

We are deeply indebted to our project supervisors Mr. Santosh and Mr. Kamal Ghimire
Lecturers, Department of Computer Science and Technology, Aryan School Of
Engineering, Purbanchal University. Their scholarly guidance, important suggestions,
endless patience, constant supervision, valuable criticism and enormous amount of
work for going through our drafts and correcting them and generating courage in the
beginning of the research work that has been made for the intialization of the project
possible.

support and help to implement impower our ideas. The discussions with them on
various topics of our works have been very helpful for us to enrich our knowledge and
conception regarding the work.
