Professional Development Plan

As a future teacher, I have worked on my professional development plan and started to develop my professional aspects in my teaching practice at Al Watan School for
semester 7 & 8. My purpose of applying the following PDP is to improve my areas of competencies which will help me to develop my educational experience. Also,
develop my profile in the future of being a teacher. My strategies will be ongoing and change until I achieve my goals and improve myself as a future teacher.

o Displays a high standard of
professional behavior, which
includes punctuality, personal
organization.

2
o Collaborates with others for
problem-solving, generating new
ideas, sharing experiences.
Reflection:

I was always coming to school early so that I can help my teacher to check the homework. My teacher always asked me to organize
the students for the daily assembly. I tried hard to cooperate with another teacher and help them. For example, there was an Arabic
test, and MST’s was supervision in the test. I asked an Arabic teacher that I can read for them the test because she 4 class ‘s that she
needed to read for them the test. Figure 1

I stayed after school for meetings that sometimes happen with principle or vice principal. On the other hand, there was after school
planning, so we met with the HOF. Figure 2

There was one workshop that happened outside the school, I was tried to attend this workshop, but I couldn’t. The reason why I didn't
attend because the principal wasn’t there so that she can permit me to participate in that workshop. I will try for the next teaching
practice to speak with the principle to allow attending any workshop that could be in school or out school so that I can get benefit from
it.

Reflation:

I was asked my MST’s about differentiation in her class; I noticed that she didn’t follow differentiation strategy in her class because
MOE they wanted all students following the same level in the class. In this case, I couldn’t do any differentiation activities with the
students. I have faced some difficulties with students in their understating because they had a different level of understanding, so
sometimes I tried made a worksheet for students, which was more comfortable for them instead of using math’s book. It was an
effective way because students were able to solve the problem without any issue. Figure 3

I focused on hands-on – activity in my lessons. I noticed that they have a positive impact on students’ performance while I’m
checking their work. Figure 4

Next semester, I will try doing differentiation because it will help the teacher to know each student level and what should she need to
do with them.

o Uses resources effectively (for

achievement by supporting
student learning”. (The

in Teaching , n.d.)
Reflation:

I have observed student’s behavior in the first two days, so I noticed that they love herd from their teacher positive language. I was
using positive language in directions to ensure students are positively reinforced to follow the path and expectation. Next, I created
tables chart and I started using this chart managed students’ behavior, which that made my teaching went smoothly without any
significant issue. Figure 5

I was engorging students to do their work nicely so that I can display their work on the wall. Some of the students didn’t respond to
me because they prefer writing instated doing a hands-on -activity. I was combined students that they prefer writing with other student
and give a role that he/she should write the numbers and the shape that was done by base ten block. 21st Century skill: Creativity,
Collaboration and Communication(Fadel, 2008). Figure 6

The best technique that I was prepare my materials before students come to the class, which help me as a teacher to avoid any
misbehaver and keep focusing on them only. Figure 7

Next semester, I will establish with students’ new rules, and I make sure that every lesson before we start the lesson. I will remember
them what the rules are and what will happen if they follow the rules or the opposites. Reminding students will help them being aware
of the consequence will be done.

students learning needs.
Reflection:

I was prepared an excel sheet for recording their marks of formative assessment and their homework. It was tough for me to document
their achievements, but it was my evidence for knowing who’s understand the concept and who need more support. Figure 8
I was giving students oral feedback at the same moment if they did a great job. The reason why, because this will affect their
performance and let them proud of themselves to keeping work hard. Figure 9

Moreover, I couldn’t give students written reports because my MST’s she told me that they only could write feedback on Class dojo
and she only uses class dojo for some case like if the student’s misbehavior. It was difficult for me to do a pre and post test because we
are running the time. I try to do a pre and post test next semester.
