Five year plan

Currently, I am a senior in highschool about to graduate and if I had to think in the future

my five-year plan would consist of going to college, future job, and future living/family. To

begin with, after I graduate I plan on going to UC Merced. UC Merced is located in Merced,

California 5200 N Lake Road. Why UC Merced? I would like to go to UC Merced because the

campus has a lot of clubs, helpful programs, and good financial aid. My coworkers mentioned

that UC Merced has a really good nursing programs which I will be majoring in. To add, I really

like how the campus is set up and has easy access to the buildings. The UC has recently been

built and is still in progress so I can't wait to see the result.

As of my job I am working at now is Domino’s which has only been about 5 months. So

far being at Domino’s has taught me new things cooking, prepping, patience, and understanding

people. Having a job now pays my phone bills, car, and car insurance. So when I get older I will

have better understanding of how to pay for my own things and the real adult life eventually.

Also, having a job now gives me a little insight of how it can be for my future job.

How will I pay for everything including school, food, rent, fun stuff, and etc? Currently, I

pay my own phone bill, car insurance, and my car. The job I have right now pays for all that. My

money also pays for the personal care items I need such as, shampoo, hair products, clothes, my

room, and etc. When it comes to food sometimes I pay my own and sometimes I don’t. Vice

versa with grocery shopping. Since I am only eighteen now and have an okay job I still will need

help in college. I can get this help with me working my job now, financial aid, and my parents.

When I become older and have the job I desire I then will be able to pay for everything I need

such as, a house/apartment, food, bills, rent, college, and etc.

 My future job that I would love to be is a nurse. I would like to eventually become a

Registered nurse and do this job the rest of my life until I possibly retire. I find nurses caring to

change their patients, their community, and the world. This is the kind of mentality I would want.

At the age of 10, I began to look after my siblings and baby-sitting then, from there, I gained the

understanding of how to deal with children. . I chose nursing because it is a profession where

you never really finish learning. It has been my dream job since my tender age. Seeing nurses

visiting my school treating students, and teaching us about health and sexual health issues, this

encouraged me. My goal and desire at that age have been to help people within the Health sector.

In the next five years from now which I will be twenty-three years old, I will most likely

still be living with my dad taking care of him. I will still be young so I am in no need to rush into

a new house myself or move away. To add, I hopefully will still be working at Domino’s which

can help him out until I get my official job being a nurse where I could pay everything on my

own. Maybe when I am twenty-five and up I will eventually want to get my house or apartment.

I will be living in Merced still because of most of my family that lives here. I wouldn’t be able

to leave my dad alone here in Merced so I rather continue living with him now until I can fully

start paying everything on my own up to the time I get the good paying job I desire.

When I finally have the job I desire and have my own house or apartment I would like to

have one to three children.. As of right now of course not because I am not ready. I’m not sure

yet how much exactly but I still have a lot of years to decide. I will also like to have a husband

first then have 1 or more children. Until then, I am good the way I am right now and will be

within the next five years. After the five years who knows what can happen. I can only hope
everything goes as planned and good. Overall, I am determined to get where I need to be with the

people I love and doing the job I deeply desire.
