Guidelines for Research Paper writings


1. Timelines to submit: 15 days after the completion of Course.
2. The paper should be between 8 – 15 pages.
3. The paper should be in open word format and not in pdf form.
4. The papers should be based on the subject allotted.
5. It should have an introduction and conclusion paragraph
6. The PPT prepared is summary of the research paper and should have at
least 10 slides excluding the title slide and the thank you slide if the PPT
has no connect with the research paper it shall be returned for rework.
7. While the candidates are free to take ideas and draw inferences from internet
and other published materials, the paper should not be direct copy of existing
content. The research work has to be original work failing which it shall be
returned to the candidates.
8. Where ever the candidate adopts contents from published material, the
source has to be credited in bibliography or references section.
9. Plagiarism in any form shall not be accepted
10. The research should be in following format
a. There should be a title assigned to paper
b. Paper should have name and other details of candidate on first page.
c. Only Times new roman font point size 12 to be used for heading and
point size 11 to be used for contents. All alignment to be justified
alignments. Line spacing to be put at 1.15 lines.
Guidelines for Forensic Audit report
1. Forensic audit report to be written on any hypothetical cases to be assumed
by candidates. (This can be from personal experience but no real name
references to be used)
2. Report to be written in open word format. PDF is not acceptable. (CIT would
use the material and cases provided by the candidate as part of the
educational material where appropriate and provide due credit if published)
3. Report to have background para which states reason of forensic audit for that
case and provides the scope of the assignment.
4. The Forensic audit report to have Executive summary and conclusion/
recommendation paragraph.
5. Reports should have sections on the data and evidence collection procedure
as well as the persons interviewed
6. The closing and conclusion section should correlate the findings with the
evidence and have a paragraph on the internal control weaknesses leading to
the fraud and possible preventive measures.
7. The detailed contents of report cannot be copied between candidates.
Reports having similar language and detailed facts are liable to be returned
for rework to the candidates.

Evaluation would be based on the following criteria:
 Adherence to the guidelines as above
 Understanding of the problem as outlined in the project
 Usage and application of course material/ presentations in terms of
knowledge and skills to the problem
 Usage of best practices/skills as required for the problem
 Presentation of the solution in a structured manner
 Presentation of solution in the form of deliverables as appropriate for the
problem
Passing Requirement:

a) 40 Marks for two Module Tests + 40 Marks for two Forensic Audit Report +
20 Marks for Research Paper & PPT (TOTAL- 100 Marks)

Candidates have to secure 50% marks in their Module Test and Project Work
(i.e. 50 Marks in total out of 100) to get eligible for appearing in the
Assessment Test. Hence passing of the Module Tests and the Project Work is
the precondition for appearing in the FAFD Assessment Test

b) 100 marks for FAFD Assessment Test


The minimum marks required for passing FAFD Assessment Test is 50% i.e. 50
marks out of 100

c) The Minimum Attendance Criteria is 90%

FAILURE TO FOLLOW ANY OF THE ABOVE GUIDELINES MAY LEAD TO REJECTION


OF THE PAPER AND FURTHER MAY IMPACT THE RESULT.
