The Accomplishment in my life that I really take pride in was going 10-0 in football. The
reason why I use this as a Pride example is because when I was a freshmen our team lost every
single game that year. We were left with nothing absolutely nothing except the title of 0-10.
Teams before us were very good, they were not average with the game, they made us feel like we
failed the expectations that were set. So the next year my teammates and I were focusing on
becoming a better team. We started with becoming closer, we spent time together and went
places did things over the summer and after summer weights that brought us closer, we became
brothers.
As soon as we became brothers we began to focus on the game and we strategize day and
night plotting on next season, thinking about how we were going to win. We wanted success
more than anyone in our division. Grind was my word of the day everyday until the next season,
sooner or later season came around we were ready we played and played until our season record
we finished as 5-5.
Then after such a moving season junior year came, we went 4-6. It was hurtful because
we prepped as if we knew we’d win. We were lost, beat, and scared because we felt like there
was no hope. We all asked ourselves “ what can we do”, “what can we do to be a champion” we
adjusted then PIcked up eachothers slack. It was a good feeling to knowing that 50 other guys
had my back like I had theirs. Senior came around and we began to feel good because we knew
that we trained hard, and when I say hard I mean hard we went into our games with bumps and
bruises from how hard we practiced, I used to call those beauty marks.
We played every game as if it were our last and it paid off we finished every game 30 to
20 points above the opponent, most importantly we went 10-0 which made us CCC champs of
our conference. It was such a great feeling not only because we left our rival with 0 points but
because we went 10-0. I was so prideful and full of love for my teammates right by my side. We
worked day and night to get where we were. 10-0... 4 years ago we were just 0-10 did not win a
single game and 4 years later we ended up winning all of them. We were doubted by everyone,
and I mean everyone. People from our own school, our own city, and the opposing teams. I will
forever be prideful for the things my team and I have done this year. Seeing everything we did
and all the time and dedication but most importantly what we sacrificed is the most prideful and
