We 4 people in a group who were doing final exams project together, in between the project
work two of the team members got to have a different idea on the project and was suggesting
for the context change at the last moment of project submission. This made a conflict among
us, myself and other member were not happy with the decision of context change at last
moment and walked out from the work. The last minute changes made our project real bad
and got everybody less marks. The conflict happened in the team had a direct effect on our
team productivity.
In a MNC one guy was trained for 4 months in java domain and it is the policy of company
that the person trained in a particular domain need to work in that profile only. The guy also
interested in java domain and taken the trainings seriously which improved his skills and was
eagerly awaiting for the projects in java. But due to lack of projects in java, HR department
has changed the policy of the company and now they are transferring him to another BPO
since they have manpower shortage over there. Now he is working in BPO because of new
HR policy and he is highly unsatisfied with the work.
3) Independent Variable: Organization System - Organizational structure and design
I was associated with Eicher trucks and bus and the organization had different vertical and
reporting for Sales, Marketing and After Market departments and overall budget was
allocated to Pan India of each division. In HD vehicle division organization found a huge
drop in sales and conflicts among the departments complaining on each of their work.
Organization has come up with restructuring of the team into Zonal wise and put Sales,
Marketing and After Market under one roof with zonal fund & resource allocation, this is a
huge step on structural change in the organization but it had given fruitful output within short
time. Sales got increased in every region and organization also found a good amount of
market share in HD division. Turnover of the company as a whole from HD division got
increased after restructuring.
