The unit problem was does he have time to escape the pendulum without getting cut. I believe
that he does have time to escape. Even though I think that he can escape I do not know how to
prove that. When we did the pit and the pendulum i thought I had the right answer but them
someone told me that it was wrong. I ever ended up finding the right answer to explain why he
did have time to escape. What I did wrong was I multiplied the time it took for 4 periods on the
30 inch string byt 12 to make it 30 feet. What I should have done was multiply it by 360 because
that's how many inches in 30 feet. On the normal curve round robin I felt that I was able to label
a normal curve for the scenario. I was also able to read each curve that I labeled and write out
what that curve ment in relation to the question.8 I was able to understand the 68% 95% and
the 97%. I was able to use these percents to help me further understand what the curve was
saying. On the curve fitting activity with the jetta car mph I felt that I was able to start to
understand how to find a equation for the curve. I realized that I could look at the curve and find
out what kind of curve it wasa. This would give me the basic equation for the curve. Then I was
able to go into that equation and change each number to find the best curve. I ran out of time to
find the best equation for this curve but I did find a equation for a different curve. On the pit and
pendulum I found the equation √1.5x when you enter this into the equation to with the data that
corresponds it has a really good curve fit. I think that this was my best curve fit in the whole unit.

Effort
I do not think I had my best level of effort during this unit but it definitely wasn't my least effort.
On the pendulum variations I felt that I had a good level of effort. Usually if i don't understand
things I will just leave it open and not do it. On this I have everything filled in. when I didn't
understand something on this I asked for help to better understand it. Since I asked for help with
the things I didn't understand I really understood this packet and the curve and distribution.
Understanding this really helped me in the rest of the unit. On The Graph in Search of
Equations I put a lot of effort into writing everything down so that it could be used in the future. I
have come back to this paper many times to refresh what we learned I have also come back to
look at the parent functions for curve fitting. If I don't put the effort into writing the parent
functions down I would nro be able to reference this to refresh my memory. On data Analysis I
felt a lot of growth because I really gotta understand the calculator. I feel that understanding
how to use the calculator is very important to understanding lots of the math. You can just make
one wrong move on the calculator and your whole equation and answer could get messed up.
This makes you think you did the math wrong but it was just you not using the calculator right.

If we had a different pendulum length how would it affect his time to escape.
