Activity Manager Klaidas Kuchalskis, klaidas.kuchalskis@cepol.europa.eu.
Participants should not have attended this or a similar CEPOL/Europol training course
before. Nevertheless, it would be useful to go through the CEPOL on-line module on
synthetic drugs in advance before 2-week training. The needed details you can obtain
on CEPOL website following www.cepol.europa.eu after registration as a user.
Law enforcement participants should have basic experience in synthetic drug and
precursor investigations, including possible crime scenes and the dismantling of
synthetic drug production facilities.
Forensic scientist participants should have basic experience in dealing with chemicals
and synthetic drug-related issues, including crime scenes and the dismantling of
synthetic drug production facilities. Since the course will deal with some classified
material, they must belong to a national police/governmental organisation, e.g. State
Forensic Laboratory.
As the course will be conducted in English, participants must have good written and
verbal communication skills in this language, including relevant technical and/or
chemical terminology.
Participants should be prepared to present their country situation on synthetic drugs
production/trafficking.
Participants must be in good physical condition and this course is not suitable for
pregnant women considering the fact that participants have to work with possible
dangerous substances.
