Engineering, Mathematics IV deals with the Numerical methods, Special functions, Statistics
and Complex analysis. Numerical methods are used to solve any mathematical equation for which obtaining
analytical solution may be difficult or cumbersome. Complex analysis, another branch of mathematics, deals
with the functions of complex variables and their various properties. The Special functions, namely Bessel’s
and Lagrange’s functions are useful in various disciplines in physics and engineering. Probability in an applied
sense is a measure of the likeliness that a random event will occur. Statistics is a branch of mathematics
concerned with collection, classification, analysis, and interpretation of numerical facts, for drawing inferences
on the basis of their quantifiable likelihood (probability).
