Technology and Innovation Days will be organized in Algeria on November 25 and 26,

to mark the return of the company to Algeria, 50 years after the Italian company�s
presence in the Algerian market, Stefano Cao, CEO of Saipam, said.

�A new page opens in the company�s relations with Algeria�, he added.

Saipem�s CEO, Stefano Cao, said in a publication on the professional network

�LinkedIn�, that the company will organize �Technology and Innovation Days in
Algiers on November 25 and 26�, noting that the event coincides with the
celebration of Saipem�s 50 years of its presence in Algeria.

�Saipem contributed to the development of the Algerian oil and gas sector. A
few days ago I was invited to the Energy Forum that was organized by Sonatrach and
I had an opportunity to talk about the projects that Saipem achieved on the
occasion of the 50th anniversary of its presence in the country�.

�This is a new page that opens up in our relationships with Algeria. I will see you
in Algiers on November 25 and 26 on the occasion of the Technology and Innovation
Days�.

Saipem�s CEO, Stefano Cao, responded to Echorouk question on the sidelines of the
�Algeria Energy Future� forum, which was held at the end of last October in Algiers
by Sonatrach, about the message that can be read through his personal presence at
this energy event, saying: �This means that the company has officially returned to
Algeria. We will take advantage of all the opportunities that are offered by the
Algerian market.�

�The storm of corruption that shook the company in the recent years and its
projects in Algeria has become a matter of the past after settling all disputes
with Sonatrach�.

During that period, almost since the end of 2008, Saipem was unable to participate
in new tenders to win projects in Algeria, and the authorities are still blocking
two bank accounts worth 71 million euros, which is equivalent to about 1,000
billion centimes in the national currency.
