ACTIVITIES PRE-LESSON 1. Teacher writes Holidays in the centre of the board and
elicits/ pre-teaches what it means.
2. Teacher elicits any words student can think of to do with
holidays: action verbs, adjectives and nouns. Teacher
writes them around the word to create a word map.
LESSON DELIVERY Activity 1(SB page 106)
1. Students look at the picture in their SB.
2. Teacher elicits who they can see (the Super Friends and
other children) and where they are (at the beach).
3. Teacher plays the recording. Students point to the pictures
when they hear the words.
4. Teacher plays the recording again. Students repeat the
holiday words.
5. Students practise pointing to the holiday activities and
naming them in pairs.

1. Students look at the chant.
2. Teacher plays the recording. Students listen and follow the
chant in their SB.

ACTIVITIES PRE-LESSON 1. Teacher makes two teams. A student from each team sits
on a chair at the front of the class with his/her back to the
board.
2. Teacher writes a holiday activity on the board. The teams
mime to their representative on the chair for him/her to
guess the activity. The students on the chairs can’t look at
the board and the students in the team can’t say the words
on the board.
3. The team who guesses first gets a point.
4. Two more students come and sit in the hot seats.
5. Teacher continues with other holiday activites.
LESSON DELIVERY Activity 1(SB page 107)
1. Teacher gives students time to look at the pcitures in the
SB and read the sentences.
2. Teacher plays the recording. Students listen for the
answers.
3. They compare answers in pairs.
4. Teacher plays the recording again. Teacher checks with
the class.
5. Teacher says each suggestion and response for students to
repeat and checks understanding of the response.

they are correct or not.
