Over 130 people have attended the club’s presentation
evening.
The night began with a welcome by President Noel Heafield
and an early, unexpected, Life Membership presentations.
Recipients David Gardiner and Justin Cameron was
presented with this Honour by senior cricket coach, Mick
Loughnane and past player, coach and Life Member, David
McConnell.
The junior coaches Anthony McIlwaine, Troy Connor,
Peter McGregor, Chris Stirling and Jason McEgan presented
various trophies to their respective teams.
The ‘Leigh Conroy Memorial Best Clubman’ was awarded to
Glenn Easterbrook and Michael Vallance for the outstanding
and unselfish work they both put into the club. Michael
Conroy presented the Shield both.
The senior awards followed with the 3rd XI Cricketer of the
Year presented by Paul Dehnert to Roger Taylor.
The 2nd XI ‘Chris Mullane Cricketer of the Year’ going to
Captain Shane Newton.
David McConnell was again called on to present the Ballan
Cricket Club Champion to Michael Snaith. Topping off a
great year for him after also taking out the top BCA award of
the Bernie Davey Medal. The U15s on the night with coaches, Chris Stirling and Jason McEgan.
