Introduction
Did you know that gray wolves are
fascinating creatures to learn about. If you do
think that gray wolves are fascinating
creatures, then today I am going to tell you
about what they eat, live and also how to tell
apart a gray wolf and a husky in this speech.
How To Tell Apart A Gray Wolf
And A Husky
When you are trying to tell the differences
between a husky and gray wolf it could be
hard, but when you look for the right things
about them, then maybe you can tell the
differences between both of them. You should
maybe look at a gray wolf’s chest and hips
first because a gray wolf’s chest and hips are
narrow but a husky has wider chest and hips
than the gray wolf. And you can also look for
their legs and their paws too. A gray wolf’s
legs are longer and their paws are bigger, but
on the other hand, huskies have shorter legs
and smaller paws than a gray wolf does. You
could also look at their eyes. A gray wolf’s eye
ranges would be a yellow or amber color, while
a husky's eye range would be between blue
and brown color. Another way to tell them
apart is by their coat, a husky’s coat can be
many colors like a dark gray color, while a gray
wolf’s coat could be white, black, light gray or
brown color, gray wolves have those colors
because it has to camouflage on where they
live.
What Grey Wolves Eat In Their
Diet
Gray wolves are carnivores which means
that they eat meat mostly as their main
source, but they also eat other things then
just meat too. When gray wolves are hunting
they would often prey upon the young, old and
weak individuals because when they are
hunting and taking a healthy adult moose or elk
can be dangerous for a pack of wolves. So
that is why they hunt the young, old and weak
individuals so they can make sure that they
are safe when hunting. When gray wolves are
hunting they may hunt their prey in large
groups so they have more food to eat after
they hunt. A gray wolf would also hunt on
hares/rabbits, beavers, birds, and fish too.
Where Gray Wolves Live
The gray wolf is an animal that is
extremely adaptable to many habitats, which
means that you can find them in most places.
This includes prairies, mountains, temperate
forests, wetlands, tundra, taiga, grasslands,
woodlands, and deserts. And people
estimated that 7,000 wolves live in Alaska. The
gray wolf can survive anywhere if there is
plenty of food, water, shelter, and space to
move around and survive.
Conclusion
So, in conclusion gray wolves are
extremely adaptable which means can live in
many places in the world, they are carnivores
which means they mostly eat meat for their
food source. They also look like huskies but
have some differences between them so you
know which one is which. So now you know
that gray wolves are really fascinating
creatures to learn about.
