Introduction:
I am very grateful to you for the opportunity to write about myself being the candidate for Master
in Department of College of Earth Science and Engineering at your esteemed institution. I would like to
articulate my candidacy in term of my vision about life, Education, academic career, future academic
plans and innate motivation to materialize my vision.
I Azeem Sultan, date of birth 03-03-1994, resident of Street no 6 Ahmad Abad Town Tehsil Gojra,
District Toba Tek Singh, Pakistan want to get admission in Masters of Geographic Information System
and Remote Sensing as specialization in “Spatial-temporal modelling and geospatial analysis” from
China to develop my skills for career growth.

Academic Background:
I am graduated from “Government College University, Faisalabad”, Pakistan, with a degree in
Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing in June 2017. I have been quick learner, mostly
considered to be motivated to learn new things from cognitive people and team.
In practice I have come across many life styles, began from my Town (Ahmad Abad, Tehsil Gojra,
District Toba Tek Singh) where I matriculated with average marks in 2010. After that I did my
intermediate from Govt. Post Graduate College Gojra in Computer Science.
On the base of this degree I got admission in BS Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing in
Government College University Faisalabad Pakistan, Which is one of the best University in Pakistan with
excellent faculty and competitive environment. Where I completed my graduation with CGPA 3.10/4.
During these 4 years I have studied Subjects like Geographic information System, Remote sensing,
Cartography, Microwave and Hyper Spectral Remote Sensing, Digital Image Processing, GIS
Programming, Photogrammetry, Land Use Planning and Development, and Environmental Impact
Assessment have enabled me to have an extensive knowledge of Geographic Information System and
Remote Sensing.
These subjects aroused my research instincts when I realized I am really excited about the Prospects of
me being a part of such researches. My project works during my final year of undergraduate course was
a field report and research projects on the bases of GIS and RS applications as.
1. Geo Spatial Assessment of Flood Hazard in Jhang District, Pakistan.
2. Application of Geographic Information System (GIS) & RS Technology for the Promotion and
Development of Tourism Industry in District Skardu.
3. Detection of Deforestation and Temperature Change in KPK (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa):
GIS and Remote Sensing an Integrating Approach
During these research projects professor of a related subject, guided and supervised and at the end they conducted
a viva. Submitted a hard copy of these research projects work in our department library.
I am an above average in my Undergraduate studies, I got not only good academic result as well as
awarded laptop by Prime Minister of Pakistan that not only encourage me in my studies but also made me
to institutionalize the belief of result oriented work. During the studies the through theoretical and
practical working on various subject of Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing took me to a
new performance in academic course, presentations, assignments, projects work and especially in these
two software’s (ArcGIS, and ERADAS Imagine) are admitted by my teachers and classmate.
View of life:

In my life, I have given myself a vision comprising on several goals, some relating to my
personal life and some to my life in the profession, which I do my best to accomplish. These goals are
designed so to make the most of the qualities that I have found in me. One of such quality is to investigate
the problems deeper and turning them into opportunities. My motivation was always towards computer
relevant software’s. After my intermediate in computer sciences I completed my graduation in
Geographic information system and Remote Sensing. However, the thirst is still there to go more in
depth, to investigate deeper to design more simple solution of more complex problem and to invent. By
fact, I am quite and interested in peace living; I have well developed powers of concentration. I am well
organized and hardworking, and work steadily towards identified goals. I can accomplish any task once I
have set my mind to it. Six years of my hostel life, made me an extremely through, responsible,
independent thinker and good decision taker. I am socially active person with friendly nature, a good
communicator indeed who is blessed with many friends. I keep keen view to the reality of life thus
approach people with positive mind and attitude and always prove to be helpful with honest efforts and
true dedication. Besides that I always feel very joyous and fortunate to meet and greet people belonging to
different background and cultures. As such meetings are always important because they prove to be
beneficial in future also it makes things easy to cope whether one works are studies in any country.

Field of Study and Study Plane in China:

I am interested in pursuing Master’s Degree in “Cartography and Geographical Information System”
from a globally renowned institution in a developed country, China because from my past internships and
the undergraduate curriculum I come to know that the vast application potential and tremendous scope for
research in the field of Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing provide me with an
invigorating and challenging academic environment. By pursuing MS study, I wish to move towards my
goal of contributing more effectively to the society scientist.
As I plan to either work as a research professional or work in an Industry that can allow me to explore
helping in the development of innovative views in the field of study. I feel that a MS degree is my next
logical step and as I am very much interested in “Spatial-temporal modelling and geospatial analysis”.
The purpose of my study plan is to clearly define study path for the proposed M.S Program in
"Cartography and Geographical Information System” and it will advocate learning by management and action.
I will be able to create professional actionable knowledge, both through classroom learning and by
applied research, advanced strategy, decision-making and leadership skills as well as the competence to
manage positive social changes through Critical action learning and action Research by utilizing the
appropriate quantitative and qualitative methods. It is in-depth Specialization and expertise in the field of
Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing with a command of relevant research Methodology
and analysis. My research in Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing study will represent
major theoretical and computational research concerns in the M.S program. The research Activities
associated with the main topic will contribute a comprehensive, logical and consistent, learning sketch,
which will design to enhance knowledge of practice and theory by comprehensively analysis of issues in
measurement.
The first objective is to sharpen the saw by attaining desired knowledge of the areas that can be aimed to
research and create a vast educational background around the topics, this can be done by the taught
courses, shall be the part of the first year of the M.S program in Geographic Information System and
Remote Sensing.
The second objective for this period shall be the exploration of different research methods, approaches
and algorithms. Simultaneously, I will also try enrich and update my Knowledge in my chosen area by
continuous reading of recent publications related to my area of Research using some online databases.
Regarding my “Research Plan”, I have designed this study map as broader outlines for my future
research schedule to achieve all of my research objectives within the approved due time.
Once, the above stated objectives are achieved; my next step will be the development of my Specific
research model in Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing, The achievement will measured
through the publications of the research findings that I will make in the continuation of the model.

The third and fourth years shall be spent in correcting and enhancing the Research results and Drawing
conclusions and analysis out of the findings. It shall be the beginning of the thesis work for my M.S
program in Geographic Information System and Remote Sensing the second half of the year and fourth
quarter of the Last year shall be spent in concluding the research and the emphasis shall be on the
completion of all the deliverables and laboratory projects.

Reason to Study in China:

Reading the books, watching the news, analyzing and observing the people of China. I really
impressed by the way these individuals have proved themselves to be dedicated to their work and with
true efforts they have set China as a successful example for other third or developed countries. The fast
growing economy, technological advancements and the global ranking education institutions of China
with high reputations makes a great aspiration to the students and professional for the better career
perspective. Thus such kind of positivity has boosted my confidence further and I am highly satisfied with
the decision I have taken. Moreover, Chinese diverse cultural norms and values, the famous gentle
hospitality of its people and Pakistan-China all weather friendly relation since past to promote bilateral
trade, acceptance and peace to both sides in great clarity make me feel China as my second homeland;
also my family fully supports my choice for China being my preference for graduate studies. Now a day’s
capitulation between Pakistan and China on CPEC make Pak-China friendship stronger. All these reasons
put together make China an ideal place for me to do my Master’s degree. I would consider it an honor if I
could study at “Hohai University” and assure you that I will put my utmost efforts into this domain.

dynamic for explanation. Especially there, my area of interest is flourishing under the guidance of
