1. What are passive elements in electrical engineering?
2. The strength of current in 1H inductor changes at a rate of 1 A/sec. Find the voltage across it
and energy stored after 2 see.
3. Define power factor.
4. The resistance of a wire is 25 . Another wire of the same material and at the same
temperature has a diameter twice as great and a length six times as great. Find the resistance
of the second wire.
5. A series R-L circuit has circulating current of i = 1 cos(314t - 20 0)A when it is applied with
voltage of v = 10 cos(314t + 1050)V. Find those elements.
6. Find bandwidth for a series circuit having resonance frequency of 225 Hz and quality factor
of 28.
7. Define Faraday's laws of electromagnetic induction with relevant expressions.
8. Find the highest mutual inductance that two coils of self-inductances 0.3 H and 0.7 H can
produce?
9. What is meant by half power frequencies in resonance?
10. Define superposition theorem.

b. If the voltage across a F capacitor is shown in Fig. 1 draw the waveform for the
capacitor current.

3. a. Define Peak value and Instantaneous values of an alternating wave.

b. Define mmf, reluctance and flux.

b. For the circuit shown in fig. 8, what value of load impedance is to be connected across
