CHANGE

Throughout the four years I have attended high school, I have become more mature and quit bit

responsible as a person & A LOT more respectful. High school has not been the best, school in

general hasn´t been it for me. I have overcome many challenges back here at home and school. I

don't have the motivation I use to have back 5 years ago, whether it is back home or school I try

to aim for the biggest things first and get everything under control. Not everything has gone as

planned for me, but I am still in the process of progressing and learning from my mistakes. The

person I was 3 years ago is not the same person I am today, my life has turned around in many

different ways.

Freshman year I was not the best student I did not want to attend school, classes,

programs, nor did I want the help that was offered. My mind set was nowhere near where it is

today as a senior. My grades were always below a C, never had an 3.0 GPA (which is my goal

before graduating). One of my biggest struggles with school is turning in work on time, having

the energy to attend class. If i don't understand an assignment I do not ask for help and will let

my grade suffer. Another struggle I have is outside of school, I am overwhelmed at times with

family situations, my self esteem is not where i want it to be so i figure just to give up and

everything will be okay.

Today where I stand has been it for the past 4 years, my father has been home for 2 years.
Everything I do at the house and outside of the house is for my family. Most times I

overwhelmed over my father and of his condition. I have been attending my academy which is

leading me to my career path. I still struggle the same way with school for the reason being not

turning in work on time and lack of communication with teachers. Honestly my grades and

attitude have made a difference throughout the years in my own opinion. This year may have not

been the best, but towards the end of the year it has been kicking in like crazy. If I were to do

anything different it would be my mind set, and actually putting in effort into school.

Whether or not if you understand my situations, I will still aim for the best grade

in not only your class, but along with my other classes. Hopefully I can get the motivation to get

where I need to be, I will try harder to get things done and in on time, and become better as a

student. Thanks for being a great teacher and taking time out of your day to hear me out.
