The Hess Corporation (formerly Amerada Hess) is an American-based integrated oil

company based in New York City. The company explores, produces, transports, and
refines crude oil and natural gas. Vertically completing the logistical chain, about 1,360
Hess branded filling stations market gasoline to consumers in 16 states along the East
Coast of the United States. The Hovensa refinery in the United States Virgin Islands, a
joint venture between a subsidiary of Hess Corporation and a subsidiary of Petróleos de
Venezuela, S.A. (PDVSA), is one of the largest crude oil refineries in the world. Refined
petroleum products, as well as natural gas and electricity, are marketed to customers
throughout the East Coast of the United States. Although towered over in size by
enormous global players in the same industry, Hess placed #55 in the 2009 Fortune 500
rankings.

The company has exploration and production operations in the United States, United
Kingdom, Norway, Denmark, Russia, Equatorial Guinea, Algeria, Libya, Gabon, Egypt,
Ghana, the Joint Development Area of Malaysia and Thailand, Indonesia, Thailand,
Azerbaijan, Australia, Brazil, and St. Lucia.

In May 2006, Amerada Hess Corp. changed its name to Hess Corp

In Indonesia, Hess is active investing heavily at Pangkah, Natuna, Jambi Merang, South
Sesulu and looking to do deepwater exploration for gas at Semai V.

HESS Indonesia Pangkah Ltd. (HIPL) is Production Sharing Contract (PSC) Company
for the Pangkah block offshore East Java. HIPL has developed two platforms (WHP-A &
WHP-B) at pangkah offshore with compressor & production platform (CPP) and
accommodations & utility platform (AUP). The hydrocarbon produce send to the onshore
processing facilities (OPF) though multiphase pipeline for around 42km to Manyar
Gresik industrial state.

OPF has three plants where the first plant is use for gas processing facilities (GPF) that
has been built operates since 2007. It also has oil treating and liquid gas processing
facilities (OTF & LPGF) as the second stage development. With these facilities, HIPL has
daily production rates for 12000 bopd, 60 mmscfd and 80MT LPG.
