1 GENERAL
This specification covers the general requirements of scope of inspection and reporting
format for Rotary Equipment Installation at site for Hassi Messaoud Upside North
PROJECT.

Status

4 SCOPE OF FIELD TEST AND INSPECTION


The scope of field test and inspection are shown in Attachment-1.
Subcontractor shall implement all required field test and inspection in accordance with the scopes
in Attachment-1, and the detail requirements in related specifications.

5 INSPECTION REPORTS/RECORDS
Blank format of each inspection record/report are shown in the Attachment-2.
Subcontractor shall prepare all required inspection reports or records using the blank formats in
Attachment-2. If subcontractor would like to use his format instead of the format in Attachment-2,
CONTRACTOR’s approval on the format is required before use.

6 OTHER REQUIREMENTS
6.1 Inspection Notification
Subcontractor shall submit the Application for Inspection for every required test and inspection
items on the scopes in the Attachment-1 in accordance with S-00-1670-101.

6.2 Subsequent Work


Subcontractor is not authorized to proceed to the subsequent works before completion of the
inspection of the work under proceeding.

6.3 Responsibilities of Sub-contractor


The requirements of inspection do not supplant or negate the Sub-contractor’s responsibilities
defined in contract and governing statutory regulations or codes.

6.4 Right of CONTRACTOR


CONTRACTOR reserves the right to modify his inspection surveillance, as he deemed necessary.

7 DEFINITION OF INSPECTION’S ABBREVIATION


- H : Hold
SUBCONTRACTOR shall submit inspection notification to CONTRACTOR.
SUBCONTRACTOR is not allowed to proceed with the test/inspection unless a written release is
issued by the OWNER and/or CONTRACTOR.
- FI : SUBCONTRACTOR full inspection
SUBCONTRACTOR shall conduct full inspection during construction work.
- P : Report Preparation
SUBCONTRACTOR shall prepare the report for the activities.
- W : Witness
SUBCONTRACTOR shall submit inspection notification to CONTRACTOR. CONTRACTOR
conducts inspection.
SUBCONTRACTOR can proceed with the test/inspection when OWNER and/or CONTRACTOR’s
inspector is not present at the notified time.
- SW : Spot Witness
SUBCONTRACTOR shall submit inspection notification to CONTRACTOR. CONTRACTOR
conduct inspection on Spot basis.
SUBCONTRACTOR can proceed with the test/inspection when OWNER and/or CONTRACTOR’s
inspector is not present at the notified time.
- A : Approval
CONTRACTOR / OWNER review the submitted reports and approve. SUBCONTRACTOR can
continue the subsequent work with the condition of SUBCONTRACTOR / OWNER’s approval /
confirmation.
- M : Monitoring
SUBCONTRACTOR is not requested to notify CONTRACTOR. OWNER and/or CONTRACTOR’s
inspector will survey during construction work on inspection, test and other quality activities.
- R : Review the document / Report
SUBCONTRACTOR shall submit the inspection report to CONTRACTOR. CONTRACTOR and
OWNER review it.
- OR: Official record
SUBCONTRACTOR shall submit the inspection report to CONTRACTOR for hand over document.
- IR: Internal record
Vendor is not requested to provide the records officially; however,Vendor shall maintain record
and/or document internally. Vendor is requested to provide the records for Contractor’s inspector
to verify the quality if necessary.
