Marks Very good - 2.5 Marks Good - 1.5 Marks Average - 1 Marks Belowaverage - 0 Marks Other significant features (the total marks obtained will be multiplied by 5/6 for calculating marks for 8 years residency period) (i) For promotion from the post of Sr. Scientist to Principal Scientist only those who secure-75 % marks and above (out of 100) and graded ‘A’ will be eligible. (ii) The Scientists who secure marks below 75% and graded ‘B’ will not be eligible for promotion. Qualifying marks will be reduced by 1 mark for each completed year of service in remote area subject to a maximum of 5 years.
