the President, ICAR, along with the proformae devised for
implementation of the revised score card for considering cases of
Sr.Scientists to the grade of Principal Scientist under Career
‘Advancement Scheme of the ICAR may please be given wide publicity.
You are requested to kindly circulate the revised scorecard
and performae (copies enclosed) to the all Directors/Project Directors of
the institutes for their information and guidance under intimation to the
ASRB.

Career Advancement Scheme. —
Sir,
Reference is invited to the note dated 29.03.06 in the file
no. 5(1)/2005/Assess.Cell (Part) regarding revision of the existing
score-card for assessment of Scientists for promotion from the grade
of Sr. Scientist to Principal Scientist under revised Career
Advancement Scheme. ‘The modifications in the existing score card
as proposed in the above referred note have been approved by
Hon'ble AM. Accordingly the marks allocated to different
aspects/parameters in the Career Advancement Scheme and other
salient features of the revised score card are as under:~

(i) For promotion from the post of Sr. Scientist to Principal
Scientist only those who secure-75 % marks and above (out
of 100) and graded ‘A’ will be eligible.
(ii) The Scientists who secure marks below 75% and graded
‘B’ will not be eligible for promotion.
Qualifying marks will be reduced by 1 mark for each
completed year of service in remote area subject to a
maximum of 5 years.
Hon'ble AM has approved the revised Score Card on 24.4.2006
