Subject: Implementation of revised score-card for promotion from the Sr. Scientist to Priniepal Scientist under Career Advancement Scheme. — Sir, Reference is invited to the note dated 29.03.06 in the file no. 5(1)/2005/Assess.Cell (Part) regarding revision of the existing score-card for assessment of Scientists for promotion from the grade of Sr. Scientist to Principal Scientist under revised Career Advancement Scheme. ‘The modifications in the existing score card as proposed in the above referred note have been approved by Hon'ble AM. Marks Very good - 2.5 Marks Good - 1.5 Marks Average - 1 Marks Belowaverage - 0 Marks Other significant features (the total marks obtained will be multiplied by 5/6 for calculating marks for 8 years residency period) (i) For promotion from the post of Sr. Scientist to Principal Scientist only those who secure-75 % marks and above (out of 100) and graded ‘A’ will be eligible. (ii) The Scientists who secure marks below 75% and graded ‘B’ will not be eligible for promotion. Qualifying marks will be reduced by 1 mark for each completed year of service in remote area subject to a maximum of 5 years.
