Would America Be the Same
Without Immigrants?
How would the U.S be without Immigrants??
● Without immigrants, the US Economy
would be a disaster!

● With no illegal immigrants, the cost of

living would be higher.

● Our farms would be in big trouble for

obvious reasons; a lot of immigrants
help with farms and other jobs that
others don’t want to do.
Also...
I was born in another country, but I was raised and have lived in America since I
was a baby.

It’s my home. I’ve seen citizens discriminated against because of their ethnicity or
just for not having been born here.

This project is important to me because it’s something I firmly believe in. I have
witnessed a lot of family members having to leave America and being sent away
from their families even though they had lived here for a long time.
Undocumented immigrants shouldn’t be forced to leave
America because:
● There are here for safety reasons,
● Many come looking for better opportunities, and
● They benefit society.

● Protection
○ 2.5 million murders in
the past 2 decades
○ 75% happened using
a weapon
Looking for Opportunity
● Many come for jobs
○ 2016: 7.8 million undocumented workers (Pew)
● Educational purposes
Undocumented
students.
● Many undocumented immigrants are high
schoolers.
● Very intelligent and hardworking which makes
educational ratings increase
● Some struggle to learn a second language,
English but it still doesn’t stop them from getting
an education.
● 97% are either employed or are in school and
trying to go to college and if not will work hard to
get a scholarship.

A Day Without..
Without immigrants there is no America.

“A Day Without Immigrants” took place on February 16, 2017.

Undocumented immigrants and many of those who agreed did not attend work,
open up their businesses, buy gas, eat at restaurants, or attend class.

A lot saw that immigrants were needed in this country after that took place.
 A Day Without..
President Trump sparked panic in communities across the country and still does.
A lot of immigrants were fed up and started to boycott.

“Immigrants and their children make up about 28% of the US

population.”(migration policy institute)

Immigrants want to feel safe and not be harassed. They want to do their jobs and
take care of their families most of all.
While Being in America
Undocumented immigrants are able to share ideas from their native lands like…

● Culture
● Knowledge and trade secrets
● Art, music, and dance, and FOOD!

Letting immigrants stay in America will help people to be well educated about
other beliefs.

beings just like everyone else and
deserve the right to stay in America.

I believe that it shouldn’t matter whether

they do or do not have any
documentation. What should matter is
what they do for this country.
