Verses on Healing

Have you ever wondered if God really promises to heal today? Does he promise emotional healing, physical healing or both? What role does our faith play in God's willingness
to heal? Should I have others pray for me, or can I just ask God for healing on my own? What if I pray and it doesn't happen - how do I fight through the discouragement?
The Bible has much to say on all these questions. Below is a list of verses on healing compiled by a member of our church who has experienced dramatic and miraculous
healing more than once. We hope these verses will be an encouragement to you. If you have further questions you can always contact us. If you need prayer for healing, it
would be our pleasure to pray for you in our House of Prayer, during our monthly Night of Worship and Ministry, with one of our prayer teams after a Sunday service, or
individually through our pastoral counseling ministry.

even as we put our hope in you.”

Psalm 34:7-8, 17-19 - “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them. Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the man who takes
refuge in him.” “The righteous cry out, and the Lord hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are
crushed in spirit. A righteous man may have many troubles, but the Lord delivers him from them all.”

Psalm 91:4-7 - “He will cover you with his feathers, and under his wings you will find refuge; his faithfulness will be your shield and rampart. You will not fear the terror of
night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midda y. A thousand may fall at your side, ten thousand at
your right hand, but it will not come near you.”

Psalm 91:14-16 - “Because he loves me,‟ says the Lord, „I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I

from this time forth and forever.”

and to him who knocks, the door will be opened. Which of you, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then,
though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts t o those who ask him!”

Matthew 8:2-3 - “And behold, a leper came to him and knelt before him, saying, “Lord, if you will, you can make me clean.‟ And Jesus stretched out his hand and touched

Mark 16:17-18 - “And these signs will accompany those who believe; in my name they will cast out demons; they will speak in new tongues; they will pick up serpents with

because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and lowered him on his mat through the tiles into the middle of the crowd, right in front of Jesus. When Jesus saw their faith,
he said, „Friend, your sins are forgiven.‟ The Pharisees and the teachers of the law began thinking to themselves, „Who is this fellow who speaks blasphemy? Who can forgive
sins but God alone?‟ Jesus knew what they were thinking and asked, „Why are you thinking these things in your hearts? Which is easier to say, „Your sins are forgiven,‟ or to
say, „Get up and walk?‟ But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins...‟ He said to the paralyzed man, „I tell you, get up, take your mat
and go home.‟ Immediately he stood up in front of them, took what he had been lying on and went home praising God. Everyone was amazed and gave praise to God. They
were filled with awe and said, „We have seen remarkable things today.”

existence the things that do not exist. In hope he believed against hope, that he should become the father of many nations, as he had been told, „So shall your offspring be.‟
He did not weaken in faith when he considered his own body, which was as good as dead (since he was about a hundred years old), or when he considered the barrenness of
Sarah‟s womb. No distrust made him waver concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong in his faith as he gave glory to God.”

you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective.”
