CANCELLATION OF THE 4TH CAPAS FREEDOM MARCH

It is with deepest regret that we must announce the cancellation of the 4th Capas Freedom
March. It was due to be held on the 11th of April 2019 in Capas, Tarlac.

As we prepared for this year’s Capas Freedom March, we were excited with the public response
in social media and even on the website. To date, we have received 1300 list of marchers from
various local military groups, schools, government agencies, companies, local and international
organizations, clubs, and media both in Central Luzon and NCR. However, unavoidable
circumstances have come to our attention including conflict in schedule due to upcoming
election for most of our partners, speakers and dignitaries including government agencies. We
had been collaborating with several other partners for possible solutions. But with the limited
time and resources, the National Committee had to make the difficult but necessary decision to
cancel this year’s event.

Therefore, on behalf of the organizing team – the AAP Travel, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the
Automobile Association of the Philippines (AAP), we would like to apologize for the
cancellation, especially to those who have already made travel and accommodation plans. We
do also apologize to some of our sponsors and partners. We intend to make next year’s Capas
Freedom March even more spectacular, so we hope you can join us then. Currently, we are
proposing the entire Region III to have a Municipal Council Resolution declaring April 11 as a
Special Non-Working Holiday. Through this resolution, people in Region III, particularly the
schools, associations, and corporations can be more actively involved in the Capas Freedom
March.

To those who are already paid, we are issuing full refunds and you will receive an email within
the next 5-7 banking days to confirm once your refund is issued.

Again, we are deeply sorry for the cancellation which was not at all anticipated, and for any
unfulfilled expectations that this may cause. Please let us know should you have any questions
or concerns.
