1) Plastic comes from nature. It’s made of natural gases, coals, minerals, and plants.

2) Plastic can be found in the ocean for many reasons. A lot of cleaning and health care
products contain plastic when we dump those products into our toilets and the sinks they
are flushed straight into the ocean. Some other ways these plastics get into the ocean
are through shipwrecks, and when people litter near rivers and that trash floats out into
the ocean.

3) The scene that affected us during the film was when the seal got a piece of the plastic
soda that comes in packaging stuck on its neck and the seal was struggling trying to
remove the plastic. The reason it affected us was that we don’t realize what we are
making in factories can affect the animal's health and the condition of the ocean they are
living in.

4) There are plastic products that don’t necessarily need to be made of plastic (ex. Plastic
bags, plates, cutlery, etc…) so if these major companies producing these products could
only make the items that have to be made out of plastic so that we are not using plastic
when its not needed.

5) The government could pass bills or laws stating that the amount of plastic being made,
needs to be reduced to only the things that are necessary (such as vacuum sealed bags
for food purposes) and stop producing plastic cutlery or make it to a minimum amount.
Since the government runs everything, maybe they could do this and prevent the
unnecessary plastic from being made in the first place.

6) What we need to do as a society is to keep our environment more healthy like recycling
our plastic or other stuff that can harm living organisms. One thing that could help us is
to pick up our trash after ourselves or others who left trash behind. Including always
thinking about others and our animals that live in this environment before you make any
moves.

7) We could have influencers promote recycling and healthier alternatives to using plastic
or petitions.

8) We could reduce the amount of plastic on campus by using biodegradable trays and
reducing the amount of plastic wrappers on foods.

9) We could spread the message by creating posters, maybe have a

conference/conferences with the mayor, post about it on social media and whatnot.
