Attendance and Tardiness

Please be aware that academic success can only be obtained if students play an active role in
their education and attend their classes on a daily basis. However, if an absence cannot be
avoided, it is up to the student to provide appropriate documentation upon return.
Parent/Guardian will be notified in the event of an absence.
 Student must submit an excuse note from Parent/Guardian for day(s) absence.
 Student must submit a doctor’s note if absent for three (3) or more consecutive days.
 12 or more consecutive days will result in referral to the Truancy Officer.
 Tardiness is also detrimental towards success. Moreover, a student who accumulates 3
unexcused tardies warrants a referral for discipline. Parent/Guardian will be notified if
student is consistent with tardiness. Please make it a point to come to class promptly.
